Why am I getting his friend as suggestions I don't follow him?

The guy I worked with had my phone number. I never gave Instagram permission to sync my contacts. I know he probably did thats why i got him as a friend suggestion. I thought you only get your followers, followers as friends suggestions when you follow them. Have anyone experienced this. It's really annoying especially when you don't want to be reminded of a person let alone his friends.

I am not sure sometimes it happens if you have mutual friends but you can always just block people

The thing is we don't have any mutual friends. I follow one family member that don't follow him at all. I'll just block them thanks.

So him looking me up could be the reason why his friends are appearing in my suggestions list? Maybe or maybe Instagram is doing something new. Whatever it is i don't like it.

Probably some sort of glitch.

Could be. I deleted, refreshed you name it. Or it could be something knew Instagram is doing i wish they wouldn't do that.
