Is it possible and how exactly to make Mars habitable?

I heard that terraforming a planet is generally possible. To do this, you need to heat it up (for example, by hitting an asteroid), bring water there by capturing several water comets, and create a magnetic field, for example by taking one of the dwarf planets from the asteroid belt and directing it to Mars with a controlled thermonuclear explosion.

Main things you need to make a planet habitable are the basic needs. Like oxygen, water and food. The correct temperatures and grafity level are also important to survive. Mars used to have a lot of water back in the day, and possibly even life in the form of bacteria (or maybe even more than that). So it could have been habitable like earth at one point. But to "make" it habitable again, is almost impossible. We can't control asteroids or comets and we can't create a magic field. Those are natural processes that we can't do ourselves. And even if we could, it would take millions, perhaps even billiones of years before a planet turns habitable. All the processes and beginning of life take a long time to create a good enough atmosphere. So short answer, no, we can't make Mars habitable again haha. It might happen naturally, but probably not.
