Mission to Mars, even it was one way?

If they offered a mission to mars and back, at the speed of the rockets now have to wait about a year before earth at it closest pointe for a launch window. Would you ever want to do that plus know this could be a one way trip?

1. They wouldn't wait for "closest point to launch". The ideal launch (if no gravitational assist is involved) would be to use a Hohmann Ellipse Transfer Orbit.

Mars ain t no place to raise your kids, matter in fact its as cool as hell. And there's no one there to raise them if you did.
If we makes faster rockets, we have to decelerate quicker to get in a stable orbit.

Not necessarily. It all depends on orbit selection. What you need is that the relative speed between the body and the rocket needs to go to ideally be zero.

Something that can be done depending upon the body and Mars is not one of them is do some form of gravitational deceleration. Areobreaking has also been suggested. What's the 1984 movie "2010" and you will see an example of that.

I admire that your willing to pass on everything for something unknown. Since there's less gravity everything you do will have to be relearned. the Astronauts went the moon had to learn that.
