I don't know enough about the subject to say if self driving cars are safe or not.

But there are bus services in operation that are automated, so the technology must be safe.

At several airports in the USA there are driverless rail systems such as in Atlanta, Chicago, Miami.

In Honolulu 2023 they opened the nations first fully autonomous driverless urban rail system.

So we may be using the systems without knowing.

Nope. I wouldn't even buy a car with assisted driving if I didn't know how to uninstall it. AI cars are dumb as shit. The handful of times I've driven them, they have literally tried to kill me by trying to throw me into oncoming traffic or into road construction barricades. They are suicide booths.

Not at all. I trust the basics of it and that it would be great having them but there are too many possible issues so far

it was scary at first to lane change around a waymo or walk across the street, even. but it drives better than a person is my updated opinion on the matter
