Fake antivirus app spreads malware and steals everything from you. What would you do if this happens to you?

Too many things were happening with my phone. I had to get guardiothere's other apps that are real i have a couple of those. I also used to have norton and McAfee and I never had any problems , and I didn't notice my norton , and my McAfee had expired that's what I started having problems, and then I got guardio. And then the other 2 started sending me emails stating that my time has run out. But i'm just sticking with guardio

Both Norton and McAfee ARE viruses and don't bother you unless you quit their services. Then they keep sending you emails saying your computer has a virus and to reenroll. They also keep trying to upcharge you for more and more services. Total scammers.

I agree one hundred % same with cloud for the last past 2 years, they keep telling me they're going to delete my pictures, they want me to send them money, but they keep saying final day final day for 2 years. Now I figure that's a big scam too or somebody just looking for information

What really sucks is on my phone I was getting over 70 Spam calls per day, I still get them.\n But I quit answering my phone, because I don't want them to get information from me or click on to my phone somehow, but a lot of my friends, I run into them Hey, what happened. I've been trying to call you. Yeah, well, if I don't have you in my phone I don't answer the phone and that sucks, because I lose Adam business too. That way

ESET has a free version for your phone, no cost at all... no registration required

and that one should be enough for most phones

there's also a paid version with many more features... but that one is not as necessary, unless you do a lot of banking online and ID verified transactions, business and stuff

the free version should be alright and enough

Backup your phone Data to laptop and hard reset or format if you need quick solution

I always am careful with my data. I do not bank online or pay my bills online. I would never give somebody like a supermarket access to my bank account. I have a good anti virus app on my laptop and run a scan at regular intervals.

It is not difficult to limit your exposure. Not banking on line or paying bills on line is a great start. I still send checks through the mail.

But mail thieves steal a lot of mail out of mailboxes and then wash the checks.
