Why does reporting people on social media never seem to work?

Why do i report people but it never goes through and never works? It always says they do not go against community standards! Like hell my a** they don’t!!!

Because if you're a "constant complainer" then your reporting carries no weight.

Also, "reporting" by one person does nothing. You need several, and they need to have substance.

Lastly, don't forget that most sites are global, and their users will be covered by a different ToS - usually dependant on their country. So the mod is usually not wrong when they say "does not go against community standards".

I report rude ass people! I get so many rude ass people online! I report them but it does nothing!

It only works if multiple people report the same person for similar issues. If you're the only person reporting a specific profile nothing's going to happen.
