You could have saved yourself from asking this question if you would have done what I just did. Copy/paste your question in my favorite search engine. The result is as follows:

Yes, lithium golf cart batteries can survive very hot or cold weather, performing better than lead-acid, but they require specific care to avoid damage. They function best between 32°F and 113°F (0°C to 45°C), with cold causing temporary power/range loss and extreme heat risking long-term degradation.

Cold Weather Management (Freezing and Below)
Charging: Never charge lithium batteries below \(32°F (0°C) as it can cause permanent capacity loss. Most lithium batteries have a BMS (Battery Management System) that shuts down charging in extreme cold.

Driving: You can safely drive in temperatures as low as \(-4°F (-20°C), but expect reduced power and range until the battery warms up.

    Storage: Store in a climate-controlled area (ideally 32°F – 80°F ) with roughly 40-60% charge

Yes—but with important limits. Lithium batteries in golf carts are much more resilient than old lead-acid batteries, but they’re not immune to temperature extremes.

    🔥 Hot Weather (High Heat)
They can operate in heat, but excessive temperatures (above ~100–113°F / 38–45°C) start to cause problems.
Short-term: You’ll see reduced efficiency and faster drain.
Long-term: Heat is actually the biggest enemy—it accelerates battery degradation and shortens lifespan.
Extreme cases: Above ~140°F (60°C), you risk permanent damage or safety shutdown.
    Bottom line:
They’ll survive hot climates (like Southern California summers), but prolonged heat will wear them out faster.

    Cold Weather (Low Temperatures)
Lithium batteries lose power output in the cold.
    Below ~32°F (0°C):Capacity drops noticeably
Performance feels sluggish (less torque, shorter range)
    Critical issue:
Charging below freezing can damage the battery permanently unless it has a built-in heater or protection system.
    Bottom line:
They’ll still work in the cold, but:

    Expect reduced range
Avoid charging when frozen unless the battery is designed for it.

They will be able to survive in the weather found on the populated areas of Earth, with perhaps a few exceptions of extreme cold near the poles. But lithium batteries, like virtually all batteries, don't perform as well in extreme temperatures. Ideally, they would be kept above freezing and less than 100F (or 0-38C).

Some electric cars have heating and cooling systems for their battery packs to keep them in the optimal range, but that does come at the expense of overall charge (meaning: range). I don't know of any golf carts that have such systems, though.
