Got a trojan while ordering Domino’s pizza—how do I fully remove it?

I swear to God, I haven't been to any illegal websites and haven't viewed any porn sites in months, but suddenl, while ordering pizza yesterday, I got a trojan on my computer> I have tried three antivirus apps so far, and none of them correctly remove it. I've set all my security settings on Microsoft to maximum, and they don't sotp the trojan

This computer is getting pretty old, and I might just trash it now, since it's more expensive to try to save it than to trash it.

Kaspersky offers a free trial, during it i deliberately downloaded and installed a trojan on a fresh windows and upon toggling kaspersky back on it 100% neutralized the malware.

If you want you can simply backup all important files and wipe the hard disk, reinstall the operating system. ㅤ

Thanks, I'll try that and see if it works. I've had this computer for 4 years now, and it was already out-dated when I got it, so it's not that big of a loss if it can't be easily saved.

I got one once that was locking my screen. Some of this may be unnecessary for you, but the computer genius friend who fixed it for me, booted the computer in safe mode, created another user to log in as, then manually went into the program files and deleted the files that popped up at the time it became infected, so if you are relatively sure when it happened, you can go into the program files and sort them by when they were last used or when they were created. You just have to be careful you don't need anything you delete. The first part of that may be unnecessary for you, but manually deleting some files is the best way if something's stopping the programs you're running from figuring which ones need to go.

You must have a weak antivirus programme if you are using one at all. Use Bitdefender. I have never had any virus in over 10 years of using the software.

I started to type out what to do but not knowing your capabilities you could do more harm than good.
There was only one virus in my history that I wasn’t able to defeat by hunting it down and removing it. That virus copied my boot partition, made a fake partition and deleting any abilities to run tools in that partition. It was brilliant. You never would suspect you are in a separate partition UNLESS you used partition software to look for it.
Most simple viruses are little programs they boot up during start up.
Look for that if you have the capability to.

I'll try that, but the software I installed was already supposed to do that.

I turned off alll startup programs and apps, and that didn't fix the problem. There was nothing in the startup which wasn't supposed to be there.

The message windows gives me tells me there are allegedly 7 trojans/viruses in Win32 folder. It's probably just one virus "somewhere" on the computer and it's spamming me messages trying to trick me into deleting something important, or else trying to trick me into accessing important information. I'm not about to go randomly deleting stuff from windows folders, because I haven'nt worked with them in decades to know which ones belong there or not.

• Use a 3rd party security software like Norton, Bitdefender, or Webroot.
• Sandbox your OS and only use a non admin login 99% of the time.
• Use VPN.
• Clear your browser cache and restart your computer several times a day.

The security software may remove the malware on installation. If not you may have to take the hard drive to a professional data lab to have it cleaned.

so, I would just add that... it could have been a Notifications setting coming from your browser, which is a sort of spam that can be solved with Malwarebytes... and maybe it wasn't an actual Trojan

so... maybe check the Notifications settings for both your browser, and your Windows system as well

I doubt that an official corporate website is infected with a trojan. But have you informed them of your suspicion/experience? In an extreme case, backup all your personal files, wipe that drive clean and re-install the OS.

Joking aside download and run malwarebytes and it should pickup whatever it is.

That's weird. Malwarebytes stopped both viruses, but the big expensive anti-viruses coudln't stop them. I spent nearly $200 on the name brand antiviruses and they didn't even work, but malwarebytes stopped it for free immediately.

I'm not screen shotting my computer to some random person anonymous on the internet. If you were a microsotf tech I'd do that, but sorry, I don't trust anyone on random forums with anything that might compromise what little privacy I still have.

The message literally tells me "Warning: Virus Detectd. Click here to remove via microsoft edge"

Trojan's can be tricky to remove. Do you have any security installed? If not I'd install the free version of Bitdefender and do a system scan.
