I sent my PayPal link to a scammer—can they now impersonate me?

So I was on tiktok and this scammer texted me saying she would help me so I sent my paypal link with 0 balance. My paypal link has my full name on it would that scammer use my name to scam others under my name?

- Increase password security to your pay pal account.
- check it regularly for money deposits on it.
- if there are money deposits you didn't expect inform pay pal
just don't send it to your bank account or try to send it back without informing pay pal. Because infos of this transaction can be faked or partially faked and you could participate in scam of someone other.

Scammers want control over your account to use it as a money proxy. As long as they don't have any control over your account you shouldn't be concerned.
Of course they will sell your data, but everyone sell you personal data even you bank or social media website.

The thing is there's many things people can do with your information, the most common is selling it, they sell it to real scammers that then use it for whatever their assy desires ask for, it truly depends what they want to use it for and what they end up using

Report it to PayPal but either ways don't worry too much about what they will do, they can't really be that effective with just your name, that's of course assuming you didn't give anymore information away
