I just feel like 9/5 is a scam. Because why are people working 5 days a week and then sometimes working 12 hr shifts. You can even have perfect attendance @ work. And still have trouble with the bare minimum?

But their could be people who work less and not even everyday independently but still make wayyyyyy more and can afford luxuries along with bare minimum.

most 9 to 5... and 12 hour shifts are labor... not all of them, but many, yes

labor does usually not require any special skill or knowledge, so the bare minimum is what it pays

but hey... even people with a degree get as little, so yeah, it is not easy at all for some people

I do work less hours and independently and earn more than the average, but that is TODAY... this only started to happen after a couple of years in which I had to work not 12 hour shifts but 24/7... lol

Yes, if you haven't noticed, you work a 9/5 making a corporation rich, you can use the time to make yourself rich, schools are places where they brainwash you from youth to fall into the system where you work your life away, notice schools don't teach you how to work for yourself, they teach you subjects to prepare you to get a job, they use the grading system to brainwash and scare children to think inside the box.

Then scam people for more education which you can learn at home, let's be foreal, university is another scam, that leaves you in dept that then forces you to do what? Get a job 😂

It’s horrible. I got The whole house mortgage paid off at my house but they hit me with these high property taxes now and they doubled the taxes from last year its absolutely horrible.

I know so many people can’t afford to live in Miami now there’s a lot of people moving away. It’s so expensive, but where do we go to some country town like Ocalla or Clewiston, with nothing to do just because it’s cheaper? Some mountains are not that steep some are called hills you can walk up and down it It’s Not like you’re gonna fall off of a clif, Mount Mitchell you can drive up in a car then you can get out and walk another about 500 feet to the top of the summit

If I was stressed out, I would sit in the mountains and just relax total Peace and quiet and just take it easy

Well, I certainly agree that 5-day workweeks with sometimes 12-hour shifts can be exhausting and that it's easy to feel like the system is rigged against you. Especially as you put it, when you see others working less / independently and still doing well.

I wouldn't call it a scam but I would say that we've let this become the norm for a lot of people. While working 5-day weeks is not necessarily ideal for everyone, it's unfortunately the reality of our society for now, and some jobs demand this level of availability.

It was invented by Rockefeller around 1900 along with the government school system to create obedient factory and cubicle workers. Doesn't it seem strange they don't ever teach you about financial management or getting ahead or anything even related to that in school? Rockefeller also switched everything from plant-based natural healing to petroleum based pharmaceuticals and the AMA so they could profit from the everyday person's illnesses. Research has proven that people cannot keep concentration up for 8 hours straight, and also that cutting down on work time (up to 6 hours daily, so can be less) not only improves efficiency and concentration, i. e. that not only the same amount of work can b done in less amount of time, but that in around 90% (I think) of cases, there was even more work done or it was done better.
