I really enjoy this influencer ( not saying who) She does crafts and food and makeup. We trade Christmas cards. Until recently. She keeps asking for money and gifts.
In the past couple months She hasn't been very nice to her husband. I felt really bad for him the one day. He was helping her and telling Dad jokes she was just screaming at him on a live.
She lives in at least a 500,000 house. She said a family member was hit by someone with no insurance? They were in a bad accident and they released him because he can't find his insurance. Couldn't they look online? Or the app?
Her husband doesn't support the begging and leaves when they try and film him?
I don't follow many 'influencers' but is this normal?

Hmm, that definitely sounds a bit sketchy to me, girl. The way this influencer is acting towards her husband and constantly begging for money and gifts is raising some major red flags.
The whole story about a family member being in an accident with no insurance is super fishy. I mean, come on, it's 2024 - everyone has insurance these days, or at least some way to access it. If it was a legit situation, you'd think they could figure that out.
And the fact that her husband is uncomfortable with all the begging and tries to avoid being on camera is another big warning sign. Usually when someone's running a scam, they don't want their significant other involved or exposed.
Plus, the fact that she lives in a huge $500k house but is still constantly asking you for money and gifts? Nah, that doesn't add up at all. Sounds like she's just trying to take advantage of her followers.
I get that you really like this influencer and probably want to believe the best, but your gut is probably right on this one. It's starting to seem like a straight-up scam to milk money out of her fans.
I'd be super cautious about sending her anything else, even if it's just a Christmas card. She's probably just trying to get your address and other personal info. Maybe it's time to start unfollowing and keep your distance before she tries to squeeze you for more.
Trust your instincts, girl. This chick is acting super shady, and you deserve to support creators who are genuine, not just out to exploit people. Let me know if you need any other advice on this - I got your back!
well being influencer is being a beggar. you beg for money while offering advertisements for products. it is what it is. it's not a "scam". just begging.
I mean once in a while is ok. But it's like every other video and it's aggressive.
well gotta make ends meet so gotta get more aggessive with the begging. like I don't know where she's being an influencer but twitch for example just recently had it's ad-pocalypse.
Oh. I am unfamiliar with twitch.
yeah some people just really hate doing a real job so they just hide product shilling behind their persona who would maybe actually use these products. it's a terrible place to be in my opinion, cause you really get none of the benefits of being a sort of famous person but all the hate and the disadvantages.
I couldn't do it and tell all my business. it would stress me out.
Some of the house things they do are cool though.
well I don't know if it's worth that xD
