I used dating sites in 2005-2008, 2015, 2017-2020. I probably had a total of 100 first dates from those three times combined, I dated a number of high quality women, and had six relationships which lasted at least six months. I met Ms. Helen on zoosk. com in 2020 and we married in 2024. If I was single again, when I was ready to date, I would not hesitate to use dating sites again (but I do know one woman who would be a great possibility if I was ever in that position again.)

Friends convinced me at the end of 2020 to use Tinder. Both my buddy, ans his girlfriend helped me set up a profile, so I think it was presentable. Still, it didn't amount to much. One match maybe? During 2021 I've also used Badoo (on top of Tinder), eventually they wanted my Facebook password, and I was like nope. I had only somewhat more success there anyway. Because of that, and because I'm generally better at conversing irl, I decided to never use a Dating App again.

Thankfully I never had any need to, not that I would anyway.

Biggest waste of time there is. It'd be a more productive use of time to cut the lawn with scissors.
