Affirmative action is not discrimination against Foreigners. It's actually when specific groups of people receive advantages due to being discriminated against in the past. So if you look at your picture, white people pay the most for the cookies.
That picture is from a thing in the US. Completely irreverent, but I couldn't find a better picture to represent price discrimination against foreigners.
But if you want, I would be happy to debate affirmative action with you either in PM or in another post.
I was referring to the image, so why is a debate needed.
Key word being "in the past"
Don't you think it's offensive to minorities to charge less?
And you think it's fair that someone gets into university or work, not because of their knowledge/skills, but because of the color of their skins?
You live in South Africa. If your country the ANC passed a law that only 20% of any company can be white employees. Cape Town almost ran out of the water, because companies couldn't hire White engeneers and there were almost no black engeneers.
You think this is okay?
You know so little about my country and it shows. Secondly I never said anything was okay or not okay, I literally only referred to the image. The end. You're not getting attacked, so you don't need to feel offended.
I'm not offended.
I know "affirmative action" isn't discrimination against foreigners. I only used that picture cuz I didn't know how else to represent discrimination.
Here's THIS
www.politifact.com/.../
So how did this rumor start?
And I already saw you that said that about the picture and that's fine. The end. So why are you still arguing further if I'm not even arguing about anything. And again, you know little about my country and it shows.
So you just visited Poland, ungary and Greece? Every EU country have age limits for alcohol and cigarettes 😅.
I've been to more than that. I don't wanna list them all. And I had more then those three in the Take
They have a purchase age but not a drinking age
en. wikipedia. org/wiki/Legal_drinking_age#Europe
Drinking age is 18...
But nobody cares
@anmari2001 For drinking age does it say "none" for Bulgaria? Or 18? I don't wanna open the link cuz it'll refresh my GAG
Wiki says the minimum age is 18 for Bulgaria
But most teens have drank rakija by 14 so as I said nobody cares as long you don't disturb people or destroy public places etc
@anmari2001 Okay thanks. Because there were a few that had a number under the drinking age.
Lol. I wish American police were this chill.
They have no chills, unless you provide them with homemade rakija and you become buddies😂
Biggest part of Europe drinking age is 18 and in some is 16
Anything that's not from the US OF A is weird
Fair enough, but even some US stuff is weird
Oh gosh! We europeans..
Interesting myTake
You read that pretty damn fast
He says this to every mytake
@Izumiblu OH
And he usually says the opposite of what he thinks.
Aka irony.
You are exaggerating a bit.
Have you seen these MyTakea about USA?
Nothing is strange about Europe
Are you European?
I am European
So they're normal to YOU strange to ME
Exactly my point
You guys find American culture strange. But so do I :p
Thank you
De rien
Yo brav poland is not hole fucking Europa u cunt
I gave examples from other countries too.
Florida isn't all of America either, and Ottawa isn t all of Canada, but that's how Europeans write THEIR MyTake.
But I don't call them names like you just did.
Thank you for confirming number 9
Brav we use that as a greeting here with friends are a stereo typical America ? Sounds like it
But also U are a brave soul because when it comes to most Europeaans we defend our stuff
So good job
Yes, I noticed.
Europeans like criticizing others, but don't like being criticized themselves.
This wasn't meant to be a revenge MyTake, but I seriously didn't expect Europeans to get so butthurt.
See most people in the eu and dont see it as one state because we arant America is 1 country with a lot of state WHERE EU UNION is a group of country sort of werking together but of u talk Europa most of is picture our own smal part of it meaning our country even tho it is clearly not really mentioned
Well i do have to say i apoligize because i read it for a second time and i understood it better the second time
But if you read THEIR MyTakes, you will see most Americans were laughing with them and saying, "Oh yeah yeah. This is so true."
Maybe only a couple will get offended.
But if you say something bad about Europe, they will just deny it and defend their continent/country with vigor!
Like even if deep down they know your statement is true, they don't dare admit it, because they have too much national pride. A lot of them are taught nationalism at an early age, so they must defend EVERY aspect of their country and say their country is perfect and the best.
It's so annoying.
If I hadn't run out of characters, I would have made that number 11.
Only Brits seem to be critical of their country, calling it ugly and boring. LOL
Sorry, English
Makes me wonder where you're from.
USA.
And you're saying WE'RE corrupt? WE behave badly? WE have weird fashion? WE'RE open about being assholes? WE say n** too much? WOW. Have you looked in the mirror recently? No country is worse than the US in ALL of this.
I never said it wasn't or denied any of those things.
That wasn't the point of this MyTake
But this illustrates the difference, when Europeans write these kinds of MyTakes about the US, people laugh and joke with them about it, but when someone criticizes Europe, you guys immediately get all triggered and butthurt! So YOU can criticize others, but others can't criticize YOU? I don't understand that!
I didn't even write this to offend anybody, and I'm nit saying all of these are bad things, so chill the fuck out, because you're not doing anything to help Number 9.
At least in the asshole department we can settle that USA is doing way worse.
And about customer service, I teach people to fire bad customers.
@es20490446e American assholeness is different, because Americans are two faced. They will be nice when they need something from you, assholes when they DON'T. While Europeans are more one faced. If they're assholes, they'll show it immediately.
And that's another point, you are angry because you don't view these things negatively, because to you this behavior is normal.
No, i haven't been in that many countries in Europe, and i'm sure that you're right to a certain extent, just hoped that you did realize that USA has the same problem, probably at a bigger rate.
OKAY! Thanks for clearing that up. Sorry about all that then. But I don't know why you had to bring in the US, since that wasn't point of this MyTake.
But I'm not denying these things don't exist in the U. S., and I agree 100% that some of them are far worst!
And I think a lot of people are misunderstanding Number 10. I wasn't trying to say that European clothing is strange, I was just trying to say that they tend to overdress, and don't dress appropriate to the weather.
It's not that i want to shit on USA it's just that blind patriotism annoy me a bit. Seems like that ain't the case with you though, which is good.
It annoys me as well.
I feel many Europeans, especially in the East and especially Poles also have a lot of blind patriotism, which is really annoying, but Americans too.
And I hate how Americans just blindly support the military.
No i love my country, but nothing is perfect. Right now though, i can't come up with something that's really bad over here...
Which country?
Norway.
OH. I don't know what to say then. I don't know how nationalistic/patriotic Norwegians are.
But maybe most of this stuff doesn't apply to Norway.
These seem to mainly be issues in Eastern Europe. Keyword being "mainly"
Number 11: Europeans
