An Unmarried couple on work tour sharing a hotel room in Islamabad, Pakistan. Any problems?

Are there going to be any legal illegal or whatsoever problems for us to book a hotel room in Islamabad, Pakistan? We would probably be booking a 3+ star hotel. And also you guys can suggest a place.
Serious answers from experienced people are needed.

Definitely.

Pakistan is one of those places where you may well be asked to prove you're married, before they'll allow you to share a room. Others on that list are Iran, conservative places in the Gulf etc.

A good friend of mine had to go to Pakistan for extended work trips, and advised NOT using a hotel at all, for security reasons. He didn't want to be spending time in a place that could be a potential target, and went for private guest houses instead.

I have never been asked to do so. I just get the room and wife comes along. Just ask for my id card
