Yuma and Painted deserts. Drove through the Mojave on the way to Las Vegas. I love the dry climate. I've lived in the sweltering heat of south Florida and east Texas..
OH, I forgot about Painted Desert
I've gone to the American southwest in like Arizona and Nevada. I've been to the UAE and we actually went out of Dubai several time, once to actually race each other.
Yes, Judaean Desert
It was cold and awful there and I had to sleep in a tent for 3 days 😭😭 I didn't like it at all. It was beautiful though
Deserts are beautiful.
I didn't know there was such a place. I thought the one in Israel was called the Negev Desert
I’ve lived in the desert 🌵 between Texas and New Mexico and I loved the scenery and mountains ⛰ 😍.
There's great scenery in that area.
Yes, my favorite is how the clouds turn gold and pink 🤩

I haven't been to any of the big, well known deserts like the Sahara or the Gobi, but I have been to a few deserts in North America:
- Columbia Basin Desert
- Sonoran Desert
- Great Basin Desert
- Snake River Plain
- Wyoming Plain
- Mojave Desert
- the far eastern extent of the Chihuahuan Desert
I really like deserts. Something about them seems peaceful, yet deadly at the same time. It's kind of like mountains: they're beautiful and they will kill you if you aren't careful.
A few.
Several in the American Southwest, and Kuwait.
I wasn't impressed. I'm not a huge fan of hot, and I much prefer trees over sand and rock.
I was however shocked at how green Kuwait was off in the distance. In every six square inches or so, there were a few blades of grass. Look far enough away, and the dunes looked like rolling green hills.
Kuwait and UAE, but it's the same desert.
I walked an afternoon in the Egyptian part of the Libyan desert.
I hitch hiked in the Tunesian Sahara, until I met a Bedouin camp; south of Douz and Nefta, Tozeur and the Chott el Djerrid
the Chott el Djerrid is a seep salt lake, 3/4 of it covered by a crust of salt with sand on it. Trucks which leave the few narrow secure tracks fall through that crust, sink and can't be recovered.
I crossed it, hitch hiking in a big Unimog
I'm not sure if it was a desert but I visited Uluru in Australia which had camel rides in the morning starting from 5:00 a. m.
I also visited Monumental Park in The States which looked like a desert
I've been to Egypt once so I was surrounded by desert the whole time. I'm not the biggest fan of heat and sand, so I prefer icy landscapes and cold temperatures but it was indeed unique.
I live in Las Vegas, so there's no point in visiting another desert. What I think about it? Its horrible. Not sure if I enjoy the bowl of mountains I get to see every day.
One that I have gone to is the Arabian desert when I had gone to Dubai...
Ah, yeah, I remember the dunes.
Yeah, the car that I had gone in got stuck when climbing one, we had to wait for another car to tow us out...
They Always do that- it's part of the Adventure.
Hmm, we did get a beautiful sunset while we waited though...
That's true. Best time of the day to be in the desert.
Yeah...
I live in a desert. Not giving out my location though ;)
Forgot to answer the last part. I think the desert would be nice to visit but as for living here? It's too hot. I can't stand it. I'd rather move to an frozen tundra.
No thanks to Tundra for me, but the desert does have its own challenges.
We did simulated warfare in the Mojave when I was in the army. I thought it was beautiful there. Definitely one of the coolest places I've seen.
It's great. Must have been for Iraq, then.
It was in 2000. National Training Center is in Ft. Irwin. The national guard plays the enemy. They know the territory, and pretty much always won. We are told that training the had been going on there for a few decades because most conflict is predicted to be in desert and urban areas for quite some time.
All over Southern California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, Colorado and parts of West Texas.
My favorite might be Anza Borrego.
Technically, no. The South African Karoo is not a full-blown desert. Also, it was a drive through between Johannesburg and Cape Town.
I plan on visiting the Kalahari in March 2019. There I plan to stay a few days.

Well I live in texas so that's pretty much a dessert right but I have visited the navada dessert when I gone to las Vegas
Went to a desert to not be harassed by people. Met a bunch of Dutch guys looking for mindfulness or some shit
Yeah, much of the Western US is a desert. Plus a few trips to the Middle East.
Someday. I plan on traveling the whole continental US.
