I want planning on traveling anyways.

But if I was, I probably would have canceled due to covid restrictions.

Not due to covid itself, it's a meme. But because I don't want to get caged in a concentration camp because policies changed mid flight and now unvaccinated people are livestock in the EU.

The new variant changes nothing about Covid (except to make it even less scary). But it is likely to be used as an excuse for trannies to further stomp on human rights.

Basically, covid itself is the only factor that doesn't dissuade me from traveling.

My wife and I would like to take a cruise or even fly somewhere. But the idiotic rules about worthless masks and requiring shots is beyond imagination. Why bother? At this point, if I can't drive there, I'm just not going. I guess those places (and other forms of transportation) really don't want my money.

I was planning to travel abroad even before the end of THIS year. It's not the variant I'm concerned about, but the new restrictions that could be imposed because of it. I'll wait to see if Biden decides to impose the mandatory quarantine or not. If not, I might still go before the end of the year, or in January. If so, I'll monitor the situation and hopefully things will cool off by spring.

But in general I am a very optimistic person. And worst case scenario, I can just use the opportunity to visit some new parts of the U. S., which is what I did this year.

This is my first year since 2012, that I haven't gone abroad.
