+1 ySort of a mix.
i have lived in a city and while it was good, there were large downsides, mainly crime, traffic and some other stuff.
Also lived suburban which is sort of best of both worlds, however it’s also got the worst of both.
i now live out in the country / rural.
not much traffic, loads of wild life. Nice places to go running or mountain biking.
also have a beach a short drive away which is fairly stunning tbh.
i also get to have a hot tub in my garden with no neighbours able to see.

So I can live in peace and quiet, surrounded by beauty, but also have the luxury of stores, restaurants, entertainment and culture nearby.
I don't want to live in a city or even a suburb.00 Reply
+1 yI am a refugee from city life. We moved to “the boonies” a year ago and I couldn’t be happier. It’s nice to not hear sirens and traffic constantly. We are close enough to the city to do the fun stuff, but far enough out that we don’t have to really deal with the bad stuff.

+1 yI was born and raised in the capital city but my best memories are from summers that I spent in a village with my grandparents.
So, I love both.
But there’s something about country life that brings out the best memories and feelings in me.00 Reply

I definitely need both of them I like the peace and quiet of the country I love the stars in the middle of the night and you can reach up and touch them it's very spiritual and beautiful and when you can share that with somebody it's even better but I also like to go into town when people come into town I live in a tourist town by the gambling town I live in a sexy town LOL and I love music I love to go to dinner I Love The Nightlife but I always like going home where is peaceful and quiet

+1 yMostly the city. I love to see new faces all the time on top of the familiar ones and have endless shops and restaurants and recreational centers to attend. I do like the country though for vacations away from the urban life, but I prefer being reasonably close to crowded cities for living.

Also like a sort of stressful and fast-paced lifestyle. I've never been the type to relax so much sitting down and watching a sunset, for example. That sounds so peaceful but I get bored so quickly trying things like that. I'm more into partying hard with friends or working my ass off for a deadline. I enjoy life the most at that frantic pace.
+1 yI grew up in a small town in the Midwest that was so small there wasn't a McDonald's for over a mile
Because of this I like small towns I want to live in a community a very small one that's somewhat far away from the rest of the world a place where there's a few ranches and farms if you cafes and maybe a fast food restaurant some amount of stores and thatd be it
And then of course I would like to have a cabin outside of town but yeah that would be the optimal scenario00 ReplyAlways loved those building with office lights on while my family drove me to (destination)
00 ReplyI prefer living in the country but working in or being near to a city, as in no more than 45 minute to and hour away. Just better wages and paying jobs, and access to commercial centers, without having to deal with large amounts of people everyday.

+1 yCity while I'm young, but when I get older and decide to settle down I'd like to move to a small town or something like a mix of countryside and a city.

+1 ySuburban. I don't live in Cleveland but I don't live out in the country either. I'm in a suburb on its east side. I just like to say I'm from cleveland because most people recognize that name

+1 yI have lived in both areas. I am ready to retire want to have few acres for garden, chickens and fruit trees. Living in the country is less stressful. No commuting. Freash air.
00 ReplyNeither. I prefer to live under the sea, or on a superyacht
00 ReplyHaving done both, I like the country life in general, but love the convenience of a city, so I would lile to live in a mix, preferably at the edge of a city, near a mountain/forest.
00 ReplyNow that I'm older most definitely enjoying the country life🥰 nice and shhhh quiet lol!
00 Reply347 opinions shared on Travel topic. Country or a small town is more my thing. I don’t really like cities they make me uncomfortable.
00 ReplyAt the moment country life sounds more appealing to me since I currently live in an urban area.. though I'd still probably choose urban life since I like frequenting restaurants, malls, and all the nightlife which urban living has to offer
