What about you?
Would you prefer to live in the city or the countryside?
What about you?
I'm stuck because I grew up in a pretty balanced city/nature area in Virginia. There's a lot of city if you want it, but we have beach, tons of parks, fields, swamps and so on. And if you want mountains it's not that far a drive away. If I had to choose more or less nature, I would choose more nature. I prefer it that way. Want to live in or near the city in more suburban area, with everything I need right there. But nature readily available to me.
I've visited countryside like they have in Tennessee with horses stampeding through fields and beautiful open skies. Love it love it love it. But i'm also a night owl and like to go out. There is no nightlife in areas like that lol. New York city has a night life and I enjoy NYC, but even being there 2 days is enough for me to know I would get tired of the city. Feels congested pretty quickly.
I don't know too much about the countryside. I've been in the city all my life. All I know is I get tired of the buildings and paved roads and once in a while I need to go hiking/camping. What is country living like?
Sounds nice. Maybe one day I'll check it out for myself. Thanks for the imagery.
A city of the same size I live in now. I couldn't stand the long distances and lack of services we have here in Finland in the countryside. But I would hate to live in a "big" city like Helsinki, which isn't even big at all compared to cities across the world. I like these medium sized cities, because all services are close, nature is everywhere around us (not like those concrete jungles) and the costs of living are fairly low.
I grew up in a City, so I will go with city
But like my city is not super big and something like NY or whatever, it's quite calm but still a city
I hope that makes sense hhaa
The countryside 100%! I've lived in a city before, but it's not for me at all. I prefer a place that's more calm, quiet, less crowdy and with kinder people...

Each has their advantages and disadvantages. I currently live in the city. Advantages are No lawn/yard to care for. Lawns are an abomination invented by HOAs to drive residents bonkers. If I had my druthers, my house would be against the sidewalk, with a huge garden in the back. Preferably next door to the greengrocers.
Everything's conveniently to hand. Entertainment, shopping, culture. No "I'd love to go to the movies, but two hours is too long to drive there, plus the trip back!" I don't even own a car.
Disadvantages: Too many people, too close together, too much noise, too many regulations, etc. Just too much.
I'm used to the city, but it's not a massive one. Then again, I have also stayed for a considerable time in the countryside near the Gaza Strip and that was pretty nice as well.
I think I'll settle for city for now, because that's the only one I have properly lived in and am used to.
B for sure!
I live in a small village with the countryside all around me, and it's so nice when you love to hike.
I walk away from home in any out of 6 directions and withing 2 to 5 min I'm in nature :D
i rent in a city but own a place here

I like living within the City cause it's close to town,
it's close to the bank, pharmacy, stores and on bus lines
where the country is for us when it snows the road crew
doesn't get out to clean the roads and such.
I'm more of a country girl. But I'll drive to the city at least 1 every 2 days to do shopping. Plus countrysides have cheaper land so I can probably get more space for my house and more importantly.. a SUPER HUGE WALK IN WARDROBE!!!
I like the country side but I would rather live in a city as if I wanted to go somewhere would makes things more difficult if there was not much local.
I like the city. It’s busy and overwhelming at times, but I love how there’s always something going on and something to do.
There are too many people in the city for my taste. I prefer to be out in the country where almost everybody knows who you are.
country, Lived on the country of 600acers with no other house in site for 12yrs of my life and it was wonderful, now I'm stuck on 1acer near a city.
City, but only cities in Canada or Australia.
Anywhere else i think i'd rather live rural given the choice.
The both have their benefits. I grew up in the country, but am living in Boston now. I'm enjoying the city for now, although I want to retire to a nice quiet plot of land once I start a family.
I have lived in one of the biggest cities in the world, in Cairo, with 20 million inhabitants. It was a nice experience, but I don't want to do it again. I would prefer a small city with approx. 20,000 inhabitants.
I'd love countryside. . All I want is a loving husband and lots of money 😂
I've lived in the country for over a quarter of a century and to be honest, I'm about ready to move to somewhere a bit more populated.
I'd prefer the country. In my experience, just try to get around the city, like driving or walking through crowded places, I found that people are always in a hurry and are angered easily.
Countryside... City life is boring. I live in a city - damn polluted with automobile exhausts and ears hurt with the honking.
I want a peaceful life in some rural area 😍
I love both 😍. So I not want be far from both them. Maybe live in countryside but half hour from city 🤔.
In between. I grew up country, and now live in the city. I prefer the verge of both, where I have also lived. It’s quiet and you have some land etc but your still close enough to suburbia and the city amenities
Country! I grew up in a small farming village and I love it. I hate the city; the noise, the crime, the crowdedness, etc.
City. By the way, in the city where I live, the concept of living in the countryside almost do not exist.
I would want to live in between. Close enough to be about to get into the city easily, but far enough to have a little of a country lifestyle.
City for me as i was born in the City and love the City and how can you not love London where i was born
I’m in the suburbs, not city but not country side either
Thats tough. Born in BUSY NY but lived in VA. I can't live without either one
dirt bikes, mud pits, planes, room to make a baseball field and a football field, plus cities are just like a half hour away. country.
Countryside so I can be away from people but hopefully only a 20-30 min drive to town
Countryside, for sure! I love Tuscany and the Swiss countryside.
City
I've lived in London almost my whole life, I think I'd die of boredom in the countryside
I could tell you prefer countryside just by your choice of images in your poll lol. Anyways, both have their pros and cons. Id be fine either way I guess
City, because I have lived in a small town my whole life. I would love to meet new people. Who don't already know my family.
I live in the countryside, all dark, all lonely, all dead.
Grew up on the country, rather have convenience.. having to spent 1.5 hours just to get butter sucks
Why do people say country when most live in the city? I live in the city but want to live in the country. I just hope you single ladies my age are in the country.
City Life I don’t live to fair from Athens.
Neither one to the extremes. I like the suburbs
suburbs close to nature
An Island. Love Hawaii...
In the country without a doubt...
I like my peaceful country life
Country side all the way
