I grew up in a nice suburb. There were farms, dairies, a river, nice parks, and lots of open land nearby. I liked it. But those things gradually disappeared, the river got cemented in, and everything got built up.
Cities have some first class attractions. But I would never live in a city. I despise glass, steel and concrete architecture, bright signs, traffic and noise.
I now live on 30 gorgeous acres with a view in a rural part of northern California. There are necessities within 10 minutes, nice towns and a medium city within 30 minutes, and big cities within 60 minutes.
There are farms, including organic farms around. There are wineries, lakes, a river, and fun activities. My wife and I have an assortment of fruit trees, including a variety of citrus. We grow lots of veggies. Our next door neighbor gives us free eggs. Deer and lots of other wildlife live on our land and come around our house.
I love the scenery, fresh air, peace and quiet.
So I guess I'm saying that I love country life.
The country life. I do not like the city. I live in a rural suburb and it is pretty nice. My neighbors have chickens and pigs. There are some cornfields in town and a dairy farm in the next town.
I grew up in a capital city and live in Shanghai now. Have always loved cities!
But best of my memories are connected to my grandparents’ village where I spent my summer holidays.
So, I appreciate nature and country life a lot and love to sneak away from far the city every now and then.
Country, but that is probably because I grew up in cities.

iiiiiiiiiiiii LOVE living in the city!

Country life it's just so much more peaceful and just better than the city
Ideally I'd like to live with no neighbors for a couple of acres on all sides, but close enough to the city for it not to be a long drive.
Country. I'd rather not pay 5x for everything just to breathe in cancer air and statistically be more likely to be a victim of a crime.
Country life, but we do enjoy visiting the city
More small town life
Definitely the country life for me.
Because I grew up in the country
country all the way
