It isn't strange. It is simply your preference to holiday someplace that interests you. I think the places you mention would make wonderful holiday spots.

Just be sure to look and see the local rules/regulations on COVID restrictions before booking. It seems most countries have put rules in place regarding international travelers.

USA is boring and dangerous and you need a car France Italy and Spain are 1000 nicer and don’t need a car

If you want beach holliday there are not that many.
I have traveled allover both Europe and USA. When I travel USA I enjoy the national park. Great hiking trails, camping, there is also wild life to see, there are cabins you can rent. If you are into be naturist there place for that also. You may like to try local cuisine.

The USA is currently the only environment with absolutely no taste at all. I know this may sound ethnocentric, as I'm American, but going throughout the USA is just different iterations of the same corporate, secularized, universalized (and tasteless) experience. Who would even want to come here, let alone live here?

Honestly, no. Having lived in the US my whole life I will say that the only part of the U. S. that's worth visiting as a foreigner, is the Southwest. I think most people come here for bragging rights, rather than our "attractions".

No it makes sense it more fun to go to a place totally different to a place you never been. It's fun to try new things like different culture, people, food and other things that the USA doesn't have to offer.

The US doesn't have a massive Tourism industry. Basically Disney World, Hollywood and, Las Vegas. That's it. And they're mostly full of American tourists.
