Who else thinks weekend trips to Europe from the US are insane?

Multiple times I've seen women say they like weekend trips to Europe. Wtf?
It's far, and it is stressful flying internationally and dealing with all the BS. I'm not crossing the Atlantic for anything under than a week.

It's mostly rich New Yorkers who do this. It's only a 7 hour flight from NY to London or Paris. That's only 30 minutes more than flying across the US. And people from from east coast to west coast for weekend and vice versa, so it's not THAT crazy

I agree with you. Maybe in Concorde days it made sense for a weekend in Europe, but with 1/2-day travel to, and another 1/2 day from, what's the point?
