ROAD TRIP TIME! Anyone make a trip this weekend or recently? WHERE did you go? What did you do?
https://ibb.co/yBbBy9W
I literally just got back from a vacation tonight, like an hour ago. I was bass fishing up in New Hampshire at Squam Lake, which is one of the best lakes in New England for smallmouth bass. I caught five other species too, so I was stoked all around. Had an unreal week out there, we fished until we got so satiated it was almost boring, lmao. Thatās the way to do it, fish at one of the best possible lakes until youāre fished out.
Hope you made it back from R. I. safely and relatively easily, but I-95 traffic in southern Connecticut is no joke like Pauly Shore stand-up😱
I WAS LUCKY THE TRAFFIC WAS GREAT
THAT IS SOME AWESOME FISH š„³
"like Pauly Shore stand-up" š
Nice catches, Steve!
@Jamie05rhs lmao, I usually go with Pauly Shore or Kathy Griffinš
And thanks, bro! Unbelievable week of fishing!
Haha
Sweet! š
In January, I crossed the entire country. Los Angels to Williams AZ, to Amarosa Colorado, to Denver, to Gillette Wyoming, to Rapid City South Dakota to Omaha, to St. Louis, to some tiny town in West Virginia, to NYC, to Kill Devil Hills North Carolina, to Pigeon Forge Tennessee, to Jackson Mississippi to Dallas Texas, to Carlsbad New Mexico, to a tiny town in Arizona, to Williams AZ, back to Los Angeles.
Visited the following national parks: Great Sand Dunes, Devil's Tower (didn't see aliens 😉), Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial (not technically a national park), Badlands, Gateway Arch, Shenandoah, Kitty Hawk monument, Great Smokey Mountains, Guadalupe Mountains, and Petrified Forest/Painted Desert.
The whole trip took about a month.
That sounds like an amazing road trip. Only places I have seen from your list would be Tennessee and NYC. But Dang you came so close to my direction... Could have caught a drink and shot the breeze š„³ celebrate the new year! š¤£
š awe
Well perhaps next January will be much better
Sorry @Bluemax I was still typing but my niece came a water pistle filled with ice water š¤£š¤£š¤£š„¶š± my fingers slipped as I ducked and accidentally hit submit... My Papa ended up getting the entire super socker blast of ice water š¦
I was going to say perhaps next year you can spend it with friends and who know maybe even get a sweet peck from some cutie š„°
I went to south carolina last weekend but it wasn't too far of a road trip just a tiny one

WOW THANK YOU š for sharing... So tranquil... Relaxing
Road trip?
I'm glad you managed to get out and have fun, though living in London whilst the Queens Jubilee Festivities have been taking place, and road closures for street parties everywhere? The nearest I got to a road trip was driving to the local petrol station to fill up for a tank a fuel.
Oooh thats rough
Shhhhh don't tell anyone, but between me and you? I've enjoyed taking the time off work :P
Shhh ok then š¤£
Years ago my parents and my uncle and aunt, cousin would make a road trip to Sea World in Ohio it was a great outing and we stayed overnight in a small hotel and overheard my mom and aunt talk about tornados so I couldn't get to sleep but I sure made up for it when we came home.
I hate tornadoes lived through one
@meetkitty123 Yes, where I live in Pennsylvania 45-60 minutes south of Pittsburgh PA we had a bad twister that took a huge pine tree out of the ground across the street from my neighbor's house than when the storm was over the electricity was out for 6 hours city crews came out to clean up.
I was stuck with a new infant in an old raggedy trailer with no tornado shelter as one ripped through our neighborhood it came close to the trailer took the shed and then the neighbors home who fortunately did have tornado shelter
@meetkitty123 That is sad for sure
@meetkitty123 Awe, your gorgeous š¤š
Thank you š¤
@meetkitty123 You're Welcome :)

@meetkitty123 ā¤ššš¹
@meetkitty123. That's really scary! I'm glad you survived!
@GoodGuyBreakingBad I went to Sea World, too! I loved that place!
I was sad to hear that it closed.
@Jamie05rhs Yeah, I believe it closed in the year 2000 .. Me and my sister were younger we liked Shamu, and seeing the Dolphins my cousin was 6 months older than me. It was a great time.
@Jamie05rhs thank you it was frightening thunder now triggers me and I flash back to that time... I have to constantly remind myself its not a tornado
@meetkitty123 Dang
@GoodGuyBreakingBad I got a stuffed animal of Shamu. :)
@Jamie05rhs Yeah that is cool
Thanks!! :)
Saturday, I took my girlfriend to a quaint fishing village north of here for dinner.
Nice pic!
That is a portion of the main street in Fernandina Beach. It is occasionally used as a location for movies set in the late 1800's/early 1900's. Very picturesque, including the historic courthouse which has been preserved. https://courthousesofflorida. com/wp-content/uploads/IMG_7761. jpg

This is the pic that didn't show up in my previous reply.
Thats a very lovely relaxing looking town.
It's a very nice place to visit, quite historic, and there are sail boats that you can charter (with captain provided) for the afternoon to sail out to Cumberland Island (where JFK, Jr. got married, and where there are herds of wild horses!)
Me and a buddy went to Lindsborg, Marquette and to Coronado Heights.
Explored little Sweden, checked out a castle and went to a motorcycle museum
I would love to see that part of the world
It costs me $135 to fill up my tank these days so unfortunately Iām not as random with my road trips. Did a camping/ATV trip last weekend up North that was fun though.
Thats a steep price to pay. Sorry to hear it. I think my van runs be about 70-80 right now
Yeah the worst part is every week it goes up another 10-20c. I keep hoping it will stabilize soon before too much of the summer gets away from me. Last winter was a tough one.
Iām from Rhode Island! What part did you go to? Howād you like it?
I went on a trip to LA last month (took a flight, not a road trip though)
Next month Iām going to Mexico with my husband, daughter and a couple friends.
My friends and I have been talking about doing a road trip. I know we want to take a drive to New Jersey to go to Six Flags Great Adventure. Itās not much of a road trip though, itās about a 4 hour drive I think
Nothing major. I went to Girard, Ohio a couple weeks ago and I'll be going back near it to Niles, in July. I'm from Cleveland so it's not that far from me, nor is it exotic in any way
I suppose to other people it is lol
RI wouldn't be seen as exotic for me because Im use to visiting family but It has a lot of beautiful places for those who have never been
Nice. How is Rhode Island? Anything interesting there?
(And no; I'm not making any trips until after Putin succombs to his cancer and the Russian military finally pulls out of Ukraine.)
Did a 5 hour drive to a friends, friend house to help her move out quickly.
planning a road trip to France, Germany and Netherlands for late summer n October.
In about 10 days we are going to South Dakota with friends.
Cool what you gonna do
Me a group of my bros and are girlfriends are going to Vegas in August but I kinda feel me and my girlfriend are gonna be like mom and dad and be more responsible because we don't drink while the others do lol.
Rhode Island is a pretty nice place. I went to the beach today. It is ten miles away. Just as well since gas is almost five bucks a gallon.
I recently traveled to Wisconsin. For the last couple of years, I'd been in training and formation to become a catechist, and my consecration was in Wisconsin. It is a beautiful state.
Going to British Columbia in July.
Seattle, Kamloops, Prince George, Prince Rupert, ferry to Port Hardy, Victoria, ferry to Port Angeles, home.
Yeah I drove to Virginia from New York this Friday and just got back last night
I went to the arbuckle mountains in Oklahoma. Went hiking. Enjoyed the waterfall.
Going to Wisc from TX , in 2 weeks for a Class of 69 get together.
Amen to that! Nope did not do much of anything this weekend
Spent the weekend in the mountains of North Carolina.
