I want to go to Florida. I drove down there once and it was a good trip.

I went on a couple good ones to the Santa Fe national forest in New Mexico looking for the Forrest Fenn treasure. The Chama River Canyon is an amazing place. Camping in the foothills of the Sierras to float down the Kings River a couple times. Up to Redwood national forest as a kid. Out to Laramie Wyoming to see my friends going to school out there. Up to Hearst Castle when I was a kid. I drove my 66 Chevelle up to Seattle back in 1999 for my friend's wedding. A bunch of crazy shit happened in that trip. If I didn't get a $900 ticket for going 110 in a 70 outside of Bakersfield, get jumped by some road rage assholes and get hit in the head with a steel pipe in Redmond Washington, and blow up my engine at the GC truck stop in southern Washington, that would have been the best trip. I did run from the Washington State Police and did a suicide run down a hill outside of Mount Vernon going about 150. They wanted no part of that. I think the trip up to Redwood national forest as a kid was the best. I remember walking through a forest that looked like the fucking Ewok forest in Return of the Jedi.

Whet was the best road trip you ever went on? Do you have a road trip planned for the future?

My homie and I rode our bikes into Canada. It was 115 miles just to get to the border, and we did that the first day. Actually, I figured there would be a creek or something at the border, but I was wrong. So even though my homie was about to barf, I made him ride another 15 miles so we could find a river so we could wash up.

People had previously warned us that we were going into grizzly country, but I didn't care. I was just so excited about the trip. My homie went to sleep in his tent, but I started a fire and cooked chili and hot dogs. (I tried to warn my homie to get in shape before the trip, but he didn't listen)

The next morning, I was the first out of my tent, and there was a black bear rummaging around. That was cool, but I love photography, and I was hoping for a grizzly or sasquatch. Oh well. So the first day we rode 130 miles, and the second day we rode 5 miles. My homie said he was very sore after that long distance. I too felt like I had just attended an Antifa, (mostly peaceful protest) but while wearing my MAGA hat.

But I never mentioned it. I was hurting, but kept my poker face on. I told my homie to saddle up, because we were burning daylight.

It was the best road trip of my life.

I've been on lots of road trips they are always amazing.

One time, I drove from California to Wisconsin. It was a two week round trip.

On the way, we hit Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, Red Rock, the Grand Canyon, Zion and Bryce National Parks, Salt Lake City and the Great Salt Lake, Dinosaur National Monument, Monument Valley, Denver, then through Nebraska and Iowa, across the Mississippi, to Madison. Went to the Wisconsin Dells, visited relatives who are farmers in Prairie du Chien, down to Illinois and over to Indiana to visit relatives.

Then home through Missouri, Kansas, down to the Petrified Forest in Arizona, through Flagstaff to Sedona, Phoenix, the Mojave Desert, Indio, Palm Springs, over the San Mtns. and back to L. A.

So hard to say which is the best…have done so many. Florida … drove down I-95 many times to avoid Christmas/February winter flights.
drove to Montreal.
earliest memory of my first road trip was when I just got my first car and couldn’t wait to just drive. I took my little sister who was 12 or 13 years old (I was prob. 24)…no GPS and just drove to Newport RI while teaching her how to read/navigate a paper map.

Oh before that…i also drove up to Brant Lake upstate NY all by myself…with my brothers old Ford Taurus … middle of nowhere, the engine died on me …

there must be some others I’m forgetting…good old times…I’m always ready for adventures on my own or drag someone along. 👍😝

My favorite is the California coast. I've been up and down the coastal highway more times than I can count and it never got old.

Second favorite was a road trip that followed the Rhine from The Netherlands to Mannheim, Germany.

All the rest of my travels by car were long trips to get from Point A to Point B, but with some interesting sites along the way.

For me, the best road trip was after I moved to the Washington, DC area in 1988. I was new to the area, having lived in a small town in Michigan most of my life, so I was just getting to know the DC area.

To be sure, I had travelled a bit before as a boy with my parents, so I was not unfamiliar with taking trips. Anyhow, one Saturday morning I decided to take a drive out to the Blue Ridge Mountains and specifically to a park called Skyline Drive.

It was magnificent. Neat little towns - Middleburg was one of my favorites - and great scenery. Later I would go to Harper's Ferry, West Virginia and Annapolis, Maryland and the Chesapeake Bay. All of this a little more than an hour from my place in Falls Church, Virginia - a suburb of DC.

Since then I have done a lot of traveling, having visited 38 countries in total. However, I have never lost sight of the value of what is just outside my front door when you go looking for it.

We just did it, wife and kids. I planned and drove through Europe... Norway, the Alps, switzerland, italy, germany, austria, france. Up and down several major mountains...3500km.

Survived without a scratch. We'll... if it wasn't for a hail storm.

Took a road trip with my lesbian ex and her girlfriend across 5 states one summer in my old Honda accord. We had to camp out together in a tent and every night they let me get involved in the love making every night, they even let me do them at least once. My ex's girlfriend wasn't really that into it but was like just do your thing to me. It was a great few days.

I went from Iowa to Colorado when a ex girlfriend. We mostly took the back roads to get there and we had some fun with each other. She gave me a couple bj while I drive and she would lift her skirt up and I would finger her. We did pull over also after we couldn’t take it no more and had sex. It probably was one of the most fun road-trips I had. Yeah I actually could go for a road trip again but maybe with my bros this time.

My very best road trips have been Los Angeles to San Francisco or the inverse on the coast highway in California, also known as highway 1. It's not fast but I think it's the most beautiful drive in the whole country possibly. I love every minute of it.

December last year around the holidays. It was 4 hours with my dog and my boyfriend. We stayed in this little cabin and hikes in the mountains. It couldn’t have gone better. Although there was also a time we drove two hours for waffles. That was nice too.
