I drove from Boston to Oklahoma City. It took me almost 27 hours. There are long stretches that I have no memory of.

I think we did a 5-12 day drive spanning at least 3 states around 7 years ago or so. It was 3 families travelling together in a rented van.

I feel God helped us because we drove through the Grand Canyon without a single dent or scratch on our car, and the weather was perfect in at least 3 parks we visited where the whether is usually unpredictable and you often get spontaneous snow emissions at random times during that time of year.

The biggest problem I had during my entire vacation is I did not order a whopper at Burger King so everybody else's whopper tasted amazing while my normal hamburger tasted like medication. I saw beautiful things and I was so glad I went there.

Probably 14 hours, from the south of Spain to Lisboa. We were very young, there wasn't anything like Maps or a similar phone app. All we had was an old fold-out road map. We had driven most of the way on quite bad, local roads, until a Portugese man told us we had been driving on a parralel road to a recently inaugurated highway that would have taken us much faster to our destination.

We spent one day and one night in Lisboa, then drove back on Sunday. I did the whole trip solo, as both girls I was travelling with didn't like to drive. I struggled my way through Monday at the office, then slept for what felt like 20 hours.

Boston to St Anthony, Newfoundland Island and return. About 2800 miles. Yes, I intentionally went through the town if Dildo while I was there.

I'm in the Bay Area. I've made several trips to Boise Idaho, Phoenix, Arizona, Klamath Falls, Oregon, and twice I've driven to Cleveland, Ohio.

For context, the Ohio route means 15 hours to Salt Lake City the first day, 15 hours to Omaha the second day, and arriving in Cleveland in the early evening the third day. Those are hard driving days with stops only for fuel, food, and restrooms every 4 hours or so.

About the same to see a pink lake in Western Australia. Does a road trip have to be continuous or near continuous? Can you take stops & breaks.

I could do a 14,500 KM road trip on the one road if I wanted to. Lots do but with stops along the way. Most take about 6 months. Is that a road trip cause it just works out at about 100 KM a day.

Back in 1999 I drove my 66 Chevelle from Long Beach California to Issaquah Washington (outside Seattle) in one day by myself, to make it on time to my friend's wedding. I was hauling ass, it was a suicide run. Then up to Bellingham Washington a day later. About 1200 miles. A bunch of crazy shit happened on the way.

I remember by day three, I would pull my head away from the window, and there would be a grease slick on it.

Got creeped on by this tranny in Minneapolis. Facial stubble with foundation on top. Hot pants and long rainbow socks. The stuff of nightmares.

About 40 hours straight on the bus, if everything goes right I'm about to do it again since 2012. I'm going to where I'm from to visit for Christmas. Kinda don't want to go I was literally sleeping where a dead person was ( probably left something angry there) I couldn't wait till sunrise every day wish me luck me scary 🫣🥺.

Driving from Our home at the time to my oldest apartment in Washington with a couple of stops was over 12 hours.

In a single day I think it was something like 17 hours. I wasn't driving. Whatever the distance from San Marcos TX to St. Louis, MO is. Longest in overall distance was over several days and was either to Acadia National Park or Yellowstone National Park, I'm not sure which is further away from St. Louis, MO. Disney World is also a several day trip, but the joy of actually going there, makes the journey seem far shorter, or, at least, more manageable.
