Did you fly abroad this year? If yes, where? How has the pandemic changed travelling abroad for you?

I flew to Portugal for a week. I had to be at the airport extra early than the usual 3 hours because of the news of delays in airport security, Covid screening, boarding and cancelled flights due to staff shortage. Thankfully, I didn’t encounter none of that. The best part not wearing a mask in Europe! How was yours?

Nah, not yet. Last time I flew abroad was Sep of 2020, to Turkey. And I had the same experience. It actually went faster, because TSA actually did their jobs, instead of making you print all your shit yourself. And literally the only thing being enforced was the mask mandate, and not getting warm meals.

But there was supposed to be every second seat on the plane. FULL!

I did a few domestic trips and didn't feel anything different.
I haven't gone abroad since Trump imposed the illegal Covid test to reenter my own country, before he left office.

But I told myself I will try to go somewhere this year, no matter what.

I didn't know Europe ended their mask nonsense. That's good to know

I didn't and I'm not planning on travelling anytime soon unless I manage to find a job another country (which would be amazing!).
You were lucky for not having any problem at the airport. I've heard about tourists who had to wait 4 hours before leaving it.

I flew quite a bit, and Covid related changes were more of an annoyance than anything else. I didn't go overseas during that time, though.

My dad is a pilot and the shared sentiment by aircrews was pretty universally pissed at the stupidity especially after the first couple months, and towards the end, basically every foreign country was more relaxed than the US was.

I'm already in Europe, but I haven't flown anywhere since the pandemic began. I don't think I'm likely too for the foreseeable future either. Glad you had a nice time though by the way!

No, we've only done some trips (mostly by car) domestically. We've delayed our international trips until 2023 due to the pandemic, and have several of them already booked. Should be an interesting next few years of travel.

I flew to the United States to see some family on my American side of culture. It was a nice visit, the only thing is that America doesn't seem to impose as much mask restrictions as Canada does, and that was quite worrying.

Been to Fuerteventura twice Mexico, Greece and Malta. No more test or proof of vacation required to re enter the UK.

Start of the year I flew around the world back home for Christmas and back. The tests are annoying, people changing the rules all the time is annoying. Masks in planes are annoying for >7 hours.
