Before I moved here I was looking for places to rent online. I found a two bedroom recently remodeled house for rent that was dirt cheap. So I decided to take a day trip and drive by the place before I called the landlord. The first thing I noticed as I turned onto the street was a hooker walking down the middle of the street, the second was a guy sitting in a plastic lawn chair right at the curb. Giving what the neighborhood looked like I'm guessing he was dealing. The third thing I noticed was half the houses on the block were vacant and covered in graffiti. The occupied houses had bars and beware of dog signs. So I kept on driving and as I was leaving the neighborhood I cane across about 20 cops in a parking lot putting on vests. Looked like they were about to do a raid. Oddly the house that was listed looked like someone put a lot of money fixing it up. It stuck out like a sore thumb because of how well it was maintained. I passed and got an apartment instead.
That being said I was never scared or worried. The time my cousin got us lost in east St. Louis is a whole another story.

I live in between two bad hoods, everything bad that leaves the other hood passes right by my house, one time I saw a car being chased by police and the people in the car were shooting at the cops while in the chase, it was like at 3 or 4 in the morning but still, let's not mention I also did deliveries for uber in those hoods and used to sell drugs in them when I was younger as well so they aren't a problem, I also used to hang with a friend that lived in a different one, I basically lived there cause I also went to school there, I actually feel out of place in a good hoods

I was waiting on an expensive package requiring signature and apparently the only time they could deliver unbeknown to me, was at 12 and 2pm when normal human beings are at work so after a third failed delivery, they said I would have to pick it up from the UPS main office. This thing was located DEEP in the heart of the worst part of town which I'd only ever actually seen on the news. Honestly the best way I can describe the experience is I had to drive where dreams go to die. There were a lot of wild dogs roaming the streets, people strung out on corners bottles in hand, what I'm pretty sure were prostitutes strolling around, the houses were all dilapidated, everything looked broken from the stores to the cars, and there were cops circling more than I'd ever seen in an area. It was incredibly sad.
Yeah, in my town its a guy with a bunch of junk cars on his farm... a bit ugly but that's about it.
Although there is that stretch where sometimes the deer like to come out and its can be dangerous to drive through, cause you might crash into one of them.

Yes. The worst parts of my town and what were likely the worst parts of some other towns.
In my own town it was not a big deal. In some other places where I didn't know my way around I increased my level of alertness. I wasn't really afraid of anything happening, but I knew I wasn't in good places.
I can think of one case where I started to drive down an alley and decided to back up and get the hell out of there pronto. The city I live in is very segregated. When I was a teen, my mom had to move us to the Latino hood for a little bit when my Grandma remarried and sold the home. In my early 20's I moved out into the black populated side of the hood. I stood out like crazy, but the people I moved in w/were alright. But that's when I really got myself in trouble. people think it's cool, but it's not.
I used to work mobile security and tbh I found most people to be pretty decent, if you treat people with courtesy, politeness, and respect, preferred the "worst" areas tbh, worked with Street Pastors quite a few times and I have total respect for them, rich areas have so many snobby people who thought I was some sort of servant,,,
Not really that bad. There was a house that kind of looked like it was made out of stolen road signs, more like a shack, and also a horse free roaming around the neighborhood. But everyone seemed pretty nice.
I try to never go there but I had to last year and it was weird but I hurried up and got the fuck out, as fast as possible... overall it's not that worse tho, I know that there're worse places and my city is overall little high maintenance lol
Yes I have, it was this week, it was so sad! I’m not going to name the road, but anyone attending THIS university knows damn wen to stay away especially at night
Not too bad in the daytime. Honestly, I don't really know the worst parts of my local city or London, although I was propositioned by a lady of negotiable virtue at about 8 in the morning on my way to work once.
In Pittsburgh PA near a swimming pool and other activities, they have tents set up for the homeless and to boot, they are intravenous drug users, sadly they had to shut the pool down cause of the homeless.
Yes, and it had me on full alert the whole time. It feels like a whole different world when you step into the bad parts of your town.

Well I live in one of the worst parts of the town so there's no need of visiting other parts that are equally bad.
I grew up there, everywhere else is an improvement tbh.
Even the cats have tattoos and carry cricket bats with nails in them.It was crazy. I locked the doors and put the gun on the console between the seats
I lived most my life in Kensington Philly. Just watch my neighborhood on youtube.
I've visit San Antonio about once a year and it's not to bad at least the food is cheap
My town is small and there is no worst parts, every part is pretty much the same.
This whole town is bad 😂😂
I've lived in bad parts of town most of my life.
Don’t think so, don’t know what they are
