Mine was Portrush, Northern Ireland, just for several unbearable days. Horrible food, angry people, no shower, filthy communal tub, freezing cold, dangerous as hell.
I liked this question just because I thought it was funny, picturing you with your persona, being there 😂🤣😭.
At least you survived and lived to tell a great tale! That’s a heck of a souvenir, and one to laugh at later… hopefully…
is it later now? 👀 or is this still being relived lol 🤣 #ptsd
lol I apologize. 👐
I have stayed in a far far, terrible TERRIBLE place. 👀
Once, visiting a new state; it was unplanned and impulsive; we were going to stay there, and a “Christian” (in-name only) rich family, took us in to their “cozy” abode, for some time.
Needless to say, we helped her clean her big house so she wouldn’t pay for official and well paid cleaners. (It was really a condominium community). She had a few strict rules, and eventually her “welcome” became a “kick out.” Later, we got our own place and lived in that same state for 10 years.
That was a terrible stay though, because a lot of things she had in that place, I had never had/experienced until at the time, and that was hard to bear. It was also hard to bear going to and from school there…
jk 😛 lol
but it was a new school.. which was rough, and then it was terrible because it FELT like we had something good (even if temporarily), but it was all just an illusion.
Was it better than a shelter? Eh.. debatable lol.
It really was a sticky situation and that’s why living in and surrounded by those riches to my ears was… TERRIBLE. Lol

Mexico City...
not bad a place, because the place was great... but it was just the dynamics of a metropolitan area with 20 MILLION PEOPLE!!
that's just not for me, the only reason why I did stay a couple more days was the food... lmao, but I still declined a great opportunity for work... there was just no way I would ever live among that many humans... ever
I went to northern Maine to stay with a friend who bought some acreage and lived in a trailer. With no heat, electricity or running water . I was at a crossroads in my life and thought I might become a hermit. This place was so boring I stayed for a week or so and decided it was not for me.

Lol. I still love Portrush, there or Bundoran. Did you go to Barry's amusements? Basically my childhood that and Portstewart playing in the paddling pools and play parks by the beach. Water world (closed now). Used to love cycling around it, watch the fishing boats come in. A lot of happy memories there.
I can't think of what else to do in Portrush as I haven't been there in years but honestly beach holidays and beach holidays in general are more for kids, maybe OK as an adult for a day and you get great weather which there's no guarantee of except a few days a year and then after restaurant, pubs, clubs and a hotel but for me 1 or 2 days is enough. Bearable if you've got a car you can leave and go somewhere else.
It does get a bit dangerous during the day, too much drinking with all these holiday makers having nothing better to do.
I priced a week's stay last year, it's cheaper to fly to Spain and rent an apartment in say esponona.
What is the communal tub?
God that sounds foul. I think mine was probably Pugwash in Canada. Just a shitty place in general. The people were alright though.
A toss up between Miami and Detroit. Both were hellholes.
Miami, Florida.
Essex.
