somehow this person became " manager" of our local pub , my understanding is she got the job during covid cause original manager wanted to leave and no one else wanted the job. however now its becoming clear she is way under qualified and has no clue what she is doing. and place isn't even busy most of the time.
her plan to bring in business is to stop doing live music on Friday / Saturday nights and play loud play lists from her cell phone instead. and to post pictures of " food " to an instagram page that has no traffic and only followed by people who already go there or been years ago. she actually fired a server last summer cause she went to college and was no longer able to work full time.
where is the owner i have no clue?
i also found her linkedin page and it states clearly that she has no experience and hadn't even worked at any pubs/bars before ours , her most recent job was at a real estate office doing marketing. she only has a college diploma in advertising/marketing but nothing in business management or small business.
how she ever became manager is beyond logic , she brings nothing and place was actually less busy under her command. does the owner not realise how much of a disaster she is. like what does she bring?

Honestly as the boss it rises and falls on her, so there is nothing you can do short of sharing your recommendations and advice. Post them on public sites like Yelp and Google
she doesn't own the business , its unfortunate she hasn't been called out on her mistakes yet. that poor girl she fired went back to an old job at a chain restaurant and never made a formal complaint or anything. i'm sure the labour board wouldn't of though very highly of an employer who refused to allow a young women going to college for dental hygene to work at her old job for the summer. its too bad she didn't go after her more for that one as i think she was clearly in the wrong. she could of also tried to contact the owner directly and explain things but she didn't
she acts like she is the owner but the actual owner is this 50 or 60 year old man , seen him there a couple times but he hasn't been there at night lately when place empty with no music and no customers so not sure he really knows the truth or not
i've also tried talking to some of the other girls who work there and got few answers so far as to whats going on there. one said it sucked that there wasn't any live music but didn't explain why there hasn't been any. another said its been very slow lately but didn't go into detail or such.
i've also seen other people come in there at night and ask if there was any live music , staff at other nearby bars also said they've had people come in wondering if there was any live music in our area too.
there is also a new restaurant going in across the street that opens in the spring , will take even more business away once it does , feel like the owner might not do anything till then when he realises the mess he's got
was thinking more along the lines of an exorcism instead
