I do it quite often really.

I don't know how people are so bad at driving. It's like walking for me
Sometimes, I'll put a song on and by the time I'm almost at my destination I'll realize that I don't even remember most of the drive.
I genuinely believe everyone should know how to control a car well enough to drift, learn to perform some level of precision driving and be taught how to take turns properly things like out-in-out, properly taking s turns know how to break when there's not enough room.
I think accidents would go down drastically.
Yeah, this has happened to me plenty of times. Mostly if you're driving a route that you drive all the time. It's just mechanical. You know the ins and outs of it already and what to look out for so your brain kind of does it's own machine learning in how you go the route. But it doesn't happen if I'm driving somewhere new or somewhere I don't go regularly.
No, I am always very well focused on driving, when I am driving. The most I do is listen to some music, so that I CAN seriously pay attention to the driving! Given that driving a vehicle will be the most dangerous thing any human being will ever do, I figure that the LEAST they can do is friggin’ pay attention!
One time only. I was in the middle of the intersection 🤣 waiting for it to clear so I can make a left. I realized in a split second, the light is turning red and the coast is clear and I was like whoa gooo 😜. Good thing no one noticed coz no one honked 🤣.

Very often. I don’t wanna self diagnose myself, but I’ve been wondering if I have adhd or something lately because I zone out constantly and every year it just gets worse and worse 😭
I constantly miss turns and go the wrong direction when driving because of it.
Oh gosh that happened to me on the highway the other day. Totally forgot I was even driving cause I got so deep into a conversation with my 7 year old. Was driving perfectly tho 😂
"Was driving perfectly tho "
exactly. you get it ;)
On an uneventful (!) daily--driven route this is pretty normal. Nothing new is happening and you already know every meter of the road. On a highly dynamic route (city) it does not happen.
I did this at least once during my driving lessons.
I don’t. I’m always alert and watching out for others on the road. If I’m on a long road trip, once I feel like I might zone out, I stop for awhile.
Zoned out drivers are better than those that think they can text and drive good.
I rarely zone out, but can happen if I'm a little tired.
I think it’s called “road hypnosis” now. I do it if the route is routine and the destination is normal. I think most people do.
As I'm ALWAYS on two wheels - this ''zoning out'' is a bad idea :)
It happens -rarely- that my thoughts stray a little.
Luckily this never happened to me I'm always alert.
Not as often as I used to. I've zoned out and drove right passed my house or exit. Anymore I only zone out after a couple of hours driving.
Yeah sometimes I’m on auto pilot after awhile on the same road for hours
Yeah I zone off quite a bit especially if I am driving a very familiar route like to work or home.
I have done it in the past but thankfully not lately.
some of us can stay focused all the time seen too many results of not paying attention
No I don't, I'm extremely cautious
you can still be cautious while zoning out. its a skill really
All the time. It's either that or road rage! 😆
It was always kinda loud so it never happened.
