What place have you been to was a lot better than you expected it to be?

I went to Arkansas once and i thought it was a pretty place. Texarkana was pretty cool too.

My uncles farm. When we (my cousins and i ) reached 14 we were shipped to my uncles farm to help in the fields. During summer break. (We were paid) although id do it all over again for free. My first time out i thought it was going to be like jail... but we had hay rides with the draf horses and learned to lead plow horses. Milked goats and cows. Even got to help birth a few calfs. Yes bed time was early and getting up was even earlier. I felt amazing each morning and exhausted every night so it didn't bother me.

I liked Cuba for the vacation and the food and the swimming pool and performances and amazing hotel staff and coffee and I was with my cousin there during Christmas and a couple days before Christmas, we saw a shooting star while outside at night and I think I was very lucky to see it, especially since it wasn’t planned.

I bet Cuba would be nice except for the Communism.

We were at an all inclusive hotel and only took one off hotel excursion and I loved the specialty restaurants, we tried both Chinese and others.

I drove through Texarkana once. It was pretty.

I also went to Mississippi and I expected the worst poverty. It turns out it's beautiful, the homes are beautiful, and the people are sooooo nice!

Tijuana in the 1970s. There were the same stories about Mexico that there are today. But I went there several times and had a great time. Watched jai ali, had some great food for a fraction of what it cost across the border. Didn't see any bull fights. I hate that.

Anyway, I initially went there with low expectations and mild trepidation but it wound up better than I expected.

Moracco ad Vietnam are two countries that we much better than expected. I wish that I could have spent more time in each of them.

I visited Scotland a few years ago, didn't know what to expect, and found a beautiful country with a fantastic history.
