I’ve been quite a few times, it’s like a 3-4 hour drive from where I’m from.

my brother lives there now so it gives me an excuse to go more 😅

I’m here with him now and it’s crazy how many weird connections he has now that he lives here lol

today we were walking and we bumped into one of his friends. We talked a little bit and then afterwards he was like “he designs the mens Ralph Lauren polo collection and he designed the bomber jackets in the new top gun movie”

I was born there, in Manhattan. I strolled around Ft Tryon, Inwood Hill, Isham, and Central Parks too many times to count, been at several museums (my favourite had a 30m blue whale sculpture hanging from the ceiling), went to a few malls, noshed in a few restaurants, went to three public schools and one Jewish preschool, rode the bus and the underground, saw a dang Mets game in the Shea Stadium (Pirates won, yay!), attended the ballet/gymnastics school and the New York Math Circle on Saturdays, illegally climbed the scaffolding and fire escapes, swam in Brighton Beach and the pool many times, and even went to the 86th floor of the Empire State Building. I really miss it a lot when I had to move to New Jersey at 13, and then to Spain at 24.

Yeah, was just there last week for a concert, actually. Hit up Prince Street Pizza in Nolita, kind of a cliché spot, but it’s not for no good reason. Outstanding pizza. Also DiFara’s in Midwood, Brooklyn, I think it’s Avenue J. Also ridiculously good pizza.

All apartments have roaches. And if you leave food laying out or don't take out your garbage fast enough they come to your apartment no matter how clean you are. It doesn't matter how much you clean the guy up stairs, the person down stairs, they're going be disgusting pigs that don't clean and will eat your bananas that you leave laying out. I haven't had problems with bugs people I put everything in fringe and throw out garbage every night. In Connecticut you get a beautiful apartment no roaches for less money and you can drive down to NYC to go to work.
