1 yThe state isn't like the movies... all ghetto and shit. Tons of trees and shit. This is my first time on the east coast... I like it. I don't even sleep with my gun anymore or purposely hit homeless people while I'm drunk driving. I even stopped molesting children. There's a different vibe here than where I was at. Harder to get my drank and drugs, but, I'm still getting fucked up.

I wasn't expecting Greta to be waxed/shaven. She struck me as the hippie type

@KostasKouvalis The pic makes her look good though. I'd raw dawg that until she passes out and forgot how she got there. Thanks photo shop.

@Texaskid1 Not gonna lie... I'd lick her ass hole and feel proud of myself. I'd brag about the act to my Mom on Facebook. "Mom, I finally did something with my life... let me tell you about what I have done. No Mom, it wasn't Belle Delphine, it was better than that."

We went to Times Square, The Statue of Liberty, Ellis island, Empire State Building, Bronx Zoo and we were there for the 4th of July so we saw fireworks. We saw the Yankees play in old Yankee Stadium before it was torn down and saw that big hole in the ground known as Ground Zero.

1 yI went there for a vacation years ago and loved it. The food was amazing, compared to Canada. I also loved the museums and art galleries we visited and I read this amazing book at the hotel library which was really an unmonitored book exchange for people to freely grab anything they wanted to read.

I use to hate going down to the city because we’d visit family but the traffic and drivers are terrible. Mostly stuck to Manhattan and Brooklyn. Ny has the best food though. I don’t care what anyone says. People are kind and it is beautiful.

I was just in the Niagara region and I sensed a pattern that pretty much everything that isn't Long Island or NYC is considered "Upstate", and pretty much everyone in the Upstate hates going to NYC and only go there if they absolutely have to😂
I've only ever transited through NYC, but Upstate and NYC are like two completely different worlds - 1 y
@KostasKouvalis Yeah, we always have to clarify upstate otherwise people assume we’re from NYC and forget Ny is a whole ass state.
I didn’t start enjoying the city until I turned 30 lol.

1 yI think I've been there three times, only once as an adult. I avoid NYC like the plague. If I absolutely must go there for some reason, I get the hell out as fast as I can. Same goes for ALL big cities.

Oh wait. The question is about New York, not specifically New York City. I answered for the city.
Parts of the state are actually nice, like the far north. I worked in western NY for about a year. It's OK, but nothing special. - 1 y
I was just in western New York (Niagara region). I agree with you, it's nice but nothing special. If it wasn't for the waterfall, there would be no reason to even go there.

@KostasKouvalis
I was in Rochester. It doesn't even have a waterfall. I liked the people there, but I didn't like it geographically. It was bland. The lake might be nice, but I was far enough inland and working so many hours that I barely saw it. - 1 y
Yes, you're like me. My dad is so fascinated with the Adirondacks, but I see nothing special about them. Aside from Niagara, Thousand Islands is maybe the only other geographically interesting area in the state. Even Niagara region isn't that geographically fasincating to be honest.
I live in the western United States, and even my California alone is more geographically diverse than most states combined. Geographically, there's really no place in the U. S. that matches or rivals that of the West (and I'm including Hawaii and Alaska here). Michigan and Wisconsin might be the only exceptions. But the rest is quite underwhelming. I live in the Sierra Foothills, and I consider our foothills much more scenic than the mountains in the east.
Yes. Several times when I was a kid (I assume you mean NYC).
It it the most over rated , over hyped city on Earth. Nasty , dirty , it smells like piss , super expensive and their are rats and roaches everywhere.
It is the city of broken dreams.
00 Reply511 opinions shared on Travel topic. I am a native NYer born in NYC, raised on LI, and spent 3 decades living upstate, mostly living in the Capital District and Buffalo. I've been to all 62 counties in the state and can tell you about any part of it.

1 ySi Senor.
Me meet wife there. Me visit relatives and enjoy some unique experiences there.
Then get out, me not care for it. Dirty, smelly, traffic, noise. But it has it's good qualities... for a city. I prefer peace and serenity.
