Is it worth going to LA?

I’m planning on going on December the 1st I’m from the UK and I’ve only ever left the country once but tbh I’d say planning is a strong word for this trip, I’ve got transport the hotel and flights booked but as for what I’ll be doing I have no idea. So for anyone who lives that way or has been, is it worth visiting?

It depends entirely on what you like. Personally I stay as far away as possible from LA. As far as I'm concerned it's a huge shit hole. But other people like it there. If you might big cities then you might like it. But it will be much different than big cities in the UK. It's very large geographically. Its very spread out. Most (bot not all) big cities in the US are like that because there is lots of room to spread out. Don't expect it to be like London. Also don't expect LA or anywhere else in the US to be like TV.

Within the US, LA is somewhat unique. Even though LA and San Francisco are both in California and on the ocean, they are VERY different places.

If you don't like big cities, I have traveled the US extensively and can give recommendations.
