Is travelling alone as a woman safe in your country/city?

Question

I am thinking about going somewhere. Still trying to figure out.

Also are hotel/food too expensive? I want to travel but don't want to become broke. When I say safe I mean completely safe. Even going alone at night is safe even if you are wearing short clothes.

Sometimes you have to take safety in your own hands… Some people want to swim out in the ocean, without fear of the waves-

but riptides are a real thing- so you’d need to know how to swim, and effectively handle a riptide in order to enjoy those luxurious waters.

You can’t just swim in it without knowing how to keep afloat.

I’m speaking in an analogy, but either every place is safe or every place is opt for dangers/mishaps: both natural and/or planned.

I humbly suggest you gain knowledge of the area/ and people in that region you wish to travel to, AND have a traveling mate like a dog 🐕. A good trained one too :] can go on plenty of hikes and enjoy a lot more with a loyal and fierce companion.

‘Fierceness’ with ‘Logic,’ and ‘Genuine Curiosity’ is a recipe for the best travels and memories made :]

No country is that safe. Females are at risk. But in many countries, that risk is low, so it shouldn't necessarily prevent you from living your life.

But would I travel alone in a foreign country? Nope. Women are attacked in my country, Canada, by random men. It's gotten much worse since covid.

Let's face it: wherever you plan to travel, a girl alone abroad is never completely safe, even probably not in their own country. Some countries may of course reveal less safe than others, but keep in mind there's always a risk, which can be reduced by adapting intelligently the way you dress and behave according the country, the time of the day or night, and the local place visited. I understand girls also want to live freely, but things being as they are, consider all this in a mature and practical way. Just travel, but adapt your clothes and behaviour to the habits and customs of the visited country.

I understand you are a digital nomad or some sort. I travelled many countries, safety and security is always relative, you just need to understand young lady if you go any country research about its economy and that might reflect and give you a visual how safe it is for you as a woman. Countries have specific indexes, for instance, Iceland a very safe country, known as very woman friendly, much of Northern Europe so, you name it. Some poor countries would seem very safe, and they can be depending how cautious you are.

I would not suggest traveling alone is safe for any sex. Being alone increases your chances of being victimized. Being in an un-known area increases your chances of being victimized. If you're of smaller sature this also increases your chances of being victimized. Traveling alone with little funds is a bad idea unless you are a total badass who can handle yourself in any situation that gets thrown at you, I would not suggest it. You could become that total badass with discipline and training and do whatever you want within the confines of the law without worrying about it that I would highly suggest future women ronin.

It's nowhere safe for women to travel alone. Not even in Europe. Especialy since the politicians let in all those imigrants over the boarder. We live again in one of the worst times in history. Our countries will collapse like ancient rome did.

I don't think it's safe anywhere alone specially in the dark so it's best to do research and always just be aware of your sorroundings let people know where you'll be and carry a knife if you can. A lot of people do travel alone so I'm sure there are a lot of safe places

Germany is very safe. Many foreign visitors commented as such to me. Our restaurants are priced fairly and high-quality groceries are almost cheap in comparison. What nightlife you get depends of course on the city.

There are so many variables here, it would boggle the mind. I would suggest checking with AAA or one of the other travel guide services. They typically have overall "reviews" of particular destination areas, including best times to go, safety issues, costs of meals, etc.

A friend of mine lives in Juarez (the murder capital of N America) and he says its fine if you dont go looking for trouble. Ie drugs, etc.

Mostly, although I haven't genuinely known anyone who walks throughout at night. Even more so, I haven't met anyone who has been sexually or physically scarred through events at night, so I wouldn't know. All I know is that I have heard stories online, but haven't seen it yet or personally been effected, so again, I just don't know yet.
