As an Louisiana resident, I can concur: don't move here, it's terrible, LOL
Outside the food and -most- of the people being pretty friendly, it's not as great as they make it out to be. From the economy to social scene (or lack of), and let's not forget about the weather, blah. If I didn't have a decent job and family here, I would have moved ages ago.
@Cynicaldreamer I am also a native Louisianan near Baton Rouge. I didn't know there was another on here... lol May I ask if you are North? South? Eastern or Western? part of the state? no need to mention any places just an about... lol
@Cynicaldreamer Yeah, I was supposed to go there but went to Alaska instead. I have nothing againt it personally, I just hate hate hate hot humid weather. I visited New Orleans and it just felt gross, wet, and dirty from the river, I don't know. The food was great.. I think its a nice place to visit, but anything hot is a no for me.
I wouldn't exclude any states, there's usually a decent part to each. I'd avoid deep south because horribly hot in summer, Lousiana/Georgia. I do better with cold.
California is pretty much the country's cloaca as far as the other 49 states are concerned, but Hawaii is almost as bad while also being a much bigger pain in the ass to actually travel to and from.
I wouldn't really want to move any further west of Missouri as a matter of fact I guess my answer is if it isn't Oregon or Missouri I don't want to live in it.

@nawtee_me I'm in the northern part of the state. I just don't advertise my location on here because of random weirdos on the internet, lol.
@Cynicaldreamer hey I understand and it is nice to know there is a fellow Cajun on here…. lol
Not California, not Washington, and not New York. All far too woke for me.

Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico... Florida...
they're all as hot or hotter than Texas, and I don't need more of that, lol
Either California or Hawaii.

Either California due to crazy politics or Chicago due to crazy crime
Hey SoCal has crazy politics AND crime. Win for win over here
Florida, arizona, or california. Any where that reminds me where I live-it's hot as hell and we're melting
I wouldn't really want to move any further west of Missouri as a matter of fact I guess my answer is if it isn't Oregon or Missouri I don't want to live in it.
For me there are good and bad parts to all states, so this is hard. I suppose I’d avoid the hot ones and the humid ones. Not a fan of summer.
Maybe Texas, cause I heard their whether is unpredictable and you might have sun, rain, snow and wind on the same day.
I'm in California and it sucks so I plan to leave. I'd never want to move to New York because it has many similar policies.
Any American state I guess. I wouldn’t want to live in America.
Mississippi, Nebraska, Iowa, Idaho, Alabama.
California immediately came to mind even before I read the update.
Alaska. Seems like it’s cut off from most of the USA
their day time/night time situation sounds like a nightmare to me lol
I couldn’t imagine it being light out all night long
Florida, Arizona, Georgia, Texas, Take your pick.
Any state that has neither mountains nor ocean. And I also dislike the west coast.
it might be to hot for me in Texas or Arizona
Any Yankee state. I want not to live in a shithole country!
