Insanely high taxes, no jobs anywhere, high cost of living, the specialized Healthcare I need is far away and expensive, no right to self defense, power hungry politicians declaring martial law at the stroke of a pen, and no land use rights.
I didn't put California because while it suffers from many of those same issues, the specialized healthcare I need is very much available, the national parks are beautiful and well preserved, and the weather is OK. I'd only go to California if the price was right, officers are well paid there but the other issues make staying in Texas the clear choice.
Plus the air quality in the LA area combined with the heat would mean trouble for me, so I'll stay away from thereNew York.
Back in '99, the company I was working for, which was headquartered in NYC, decided to close down their California office and move operations to NY - not to NYC, but about 45 miles north. I was offered a position there, with a raise. I turned it down. I was offered a bigger raise, and some moving assistance. I turned it down. Finally, my VP flew out from NYC, got on his knees in front of the remaining staff, and offered to double my salary and pay all moving costs. I turned him down.
And I told him "there's an office in Texas - why in the world wouldn't you move things there? It would cost less, it would be easier to staff, and people we need to deal with all the time are already there? And I'm willing to move to Texas." Nope, it was New York or nothing. I made 9 trips to NY to train people and help hire people, and then took my severance and moved on.
A year later, they moved everything to Texas. Bastards!
Pennsylvania…. I live here already. Went from Philly to a central PA, where an openly far right politician who’s trying to ban all abortion (Admitted he won’t allow it for rape, incest, or the mother’s life either) and criminalize gay marriage is getting huge support.
Even a lot of Trump supporters are calling Doug Mastriano too extreme. Fuck that guy.
And politicians will manipulate shit any way possible to make you look bad… but recruiting followers from a white supremacist social media site in no way can look “good.”
The states I dislike the most (I dont actually hate any) or would at least not move to: Illinois, California, Washington, Pennsylvania, Maine, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Vermont
Would at least visit: Alabama, Mississippi, Lousiana, Utah, North Dakota, Idaho, Michigan, south Carolina, Texas
I like my state so I dont really want to move anyways.
LOL I wish to hell more people felt that way about California - by FAR the BIGGEST problem here is too f'n many people, and politicians who are too dumb to realize that.
Yeah who would want to live in a place that has beaches, mountains, desert, forest...
It took me moving to a different state after college to realize how fucked up my home state of Illinois is. Will NEVER go back. Aside from there, I would never want to move to New York or California.
I love living in Texas, although I think our governor is a kook bag.None, i'd like to visit them all since i'm not a U. S citizen hehe
I'd like to see where the stick girl resides 😁
It has to be a state where there are no storms, not too much heat or cold, a moderate weather suits the stick girl 🙂
I have been to almost all US states. While I may not care for some cities within those states, I pretty much am fine with all of them. However, I'd prefer not to be in strongly red states filled with racist MAGA idiots. I have to deal with that now where I live in Missouri and I would rather not have to been somewhere where it is worse than this. I cope because I won't judge people solely on their politics or religion.
I've lived and traveled all over the US [and internationally]. The only place I really enjoyed was the Pacific NW. The diversity of outdoor life is fantastic. Worst place has been the south. Far too many disingenuous selfish people that pretend to be friendly, but are just fake.
California can suck my balls. Was born in LA and raised in Sacramento. SUCKS BALLS NEVER GOING BACK SUCK MY BALLS CALIFORNIA YOUR TAXES SUCK YOUR GOVERNER SUCKS AND YOUR MORALS
Cali, Florida, Texas. Great places to visit but not affordable for me to live there, plus people in Florida and Texas drives like bats flying out hell on crack. I also wouldn't recommend Wisconsin, went up there to watch the Manchester city game not that long ago and it was so damn boring. Maybe it was the location we were in but it was just nothing but mostly farmland. Also don't move to Nebraska, we're pretty boring to and don't have a lot main attractions. Lol 😆
I've lived in ten states, and visited almost all the rest many times. Of the ones I've lived in, California is the only one I can't see ever moving to again. I left there for a reason 20+ years ago, and the state has seriously gone down hill since then.
Of the states I haven't already lived in it's a hard pick. Maybe Minnesota. Although realistically it's not about the state, it's about the specific location. Every state has good and bad places.
Really I can’t say that there is any state I don’t want to move to. Because the few states I would say no to I have a lot of reasons to move to… but like Cali and Florida are my top no states. And I have family in Cali and there is just so much cool to do in Florida… or there was… I do t k is about that now…
California. The price of living there is outrageous!
Denial
California. I was there for a month. The cost is too high for anything
I will never set foot in the Democratic Peoples' Republic of California.
Insane taxes
A safe haven for criminals
Gas generators are illegal
Gas cars will be soon as well
High concentrations of communists
Cartels, gangs, and violent crime run rampant
Self defense is outlawed
Horrid air and ground pollution
And "cheese" that tastes like clay saturated with expired mustard.California... some day it's going to slide into the Pacific Ocean. Until it does, it has too many problems: air pollution, too many people, brush fires, not enough water, to name a few. And its cost of living is absurdly high.
Let's see:
California, New York, Virginia, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Arizona, New Mexico, Michigan, Vermont, Illinois, Rhode Island, Delaware, and Maryland.
While there are states to the south and west that I would not want to live, I would like to visit them. However there are northern states like New Jersey that I would not even want to visit.
