+1 yThere are heaps of states I'd never move to, but I don't know if I could be so adamant I'd never even visit.
Places like MS, KS, AL, OK either for their topography (boring) or their politics (murderously conservative), or both. I honestly though feel like even in those states there have to be a lot of great people I'd be happy to know. Actually my best friend in HS was from MS.

LOL definitely a lot of hating on CA, where I live. Which is fine, we really are full up on people at this point and don't need more, it would just keep driving our real estate prices up even further. We'll come visit you :)

As someone from California im absolutely not visiting any of these conservative states 😭😭

I think there are some cool places in TX though that are more loose. I've heard good things about Austin.

I've already lived in ten states in the north, south, east, west, and middle. I've visited most of the rest multiple times. If I had to rank all 50 states, obviously something would have to be at the bottom of the list. I don't know what state that would be, but there are none that I would absolutely not want to live in.
Now that I think about it, I actually want to live in all of them. Not enough time to do that, but I think it would be cool to live in every single one of them, at least for a while.
For just visiting - already done that with 46 states.
10 ReplyI'd visit any state. Actually living in though... Hawaii is probably at the bottom of the list, followed by either Oregon or California. Those are all states I've been in and around enough to know I don't want to live there. There are probably some northeastern states more deserving of the shade (particularly Massachusetts) but other than Maine, I've only passed through most of them without staying.
10 Replynever want to go back to florida. never been to texas, but never want to go there either.

+1 yWest Virginia... I visited but I would never live there due to how empty it seemed. I felt like there was nothing there.
Alabama might be a state I never visit unless I do a cross country road trip and have to visit the state.10 ReplyI've visited all of the states, and many foreign countries.
I could live just about anywhere except in a big city.
They all have their plusses and minuses.20 ReplyNot sure if I'd avoid an entire state. There's a few cities I'd avoid - Detroit, New Orleans, LA - probably, but I'd love to see all 50 states. Preferably on a Harley
10 ReplyOklahoma , I heard it’s the armpit capital of the world , so even though I never been there I have no desire to do so

@Lyndsielee666 do you like Washington? That’s where I live
- +1 y
@Kingofkings1992 yea I do ☺️ my sister lived in Chelan for a long ass time
- +1 y
Yes, expensive. But for good reasons like amazing weather, beautiful nature.
I am a frugal person, but I find some expensive places well worth it. I happen to live in one of the most expensive places in one of the most expensive states (CA), but I think it's fine because I make more money here. I could live some cheap place and make less and save less, but that doesn't make financial sense to me, and also have to live in this cheap place that no one likes because the weather and landscape are miserable? - +1 y
@Kingofkings1992 I defo prefer norcal. Cheaper and less money, but also worth that because I love the people there more. Down south too many superficial people and hard to connect in a real way.
- +1 y
@zeitgeist057 that hurts my feelings 😞

+1 yMaybe Texas cause I heard they have extreme cold and heat there.
13 Reply- +1 y
Texas definitely does not have extreme cold, not even close. It can get pretty hot there, but no worse that a lot of other states. The entire southern part of the US gets pretty hot. Some of the interior plains states get pretty darn hot also.
- +1 y
@WindAtMyBack what I mean is I saw a poster that said in Texas you might have sun and rain and snow and wind in the same day. That scared me off.
- +1 y
Half the country is like that. On the two coast, the oceans are a big heat sink that evens out the weather. In the middle of the US and Canada, there is no big body of water to even things out. The weather can change very rapidly.
Hot and cold in one day would be rare though. In many parts of the country it might drop as much as 40 degrees in a day, but it's not normal.
Texas is definitely not a cold state. Even in the mountains in the winter it's not all that cold. Parts of California will get much colder than any place in Texas. Parts of California will also get as hot or hotter than Texas.
The most extreme temperature changes are probably someplace like Kansas which gets very hot in the summer and very cold in the winter.
