1 yI don't really have one, but for the sake of answering this question, I'll say Mississippi. If I might end up passing through it or hopping over if Im visiting other states in the region again, but I'm certainly not doing a special trip there.
What's wrong with mountains? It's not just mountains though

Palace of Gold, WV
Harper's Ferry, WV

Lost World Caverns, WV
Helvetia Swiss Festival, WV 13 Reply- 1 y
Love the mountains but that's all there were. There wasn't anything else in WV. It was quite depressing.
- 1 y
I posted 5 things.
At least there's hills. Now Mississippi, THAT was a boring state
Also, i love how you keep calling them "mountains". In the West, those are what we call "foothills" 😂
Real mountains, you wouldn't find boring - 1 y
Sorry I missed that it was WV lol and oh well foothills lol... Mississippi was also very depressing but WV was worse in my opinion

1 yI haven't been to all that many states as it is, but doubt there is any I can absolutely say I wouldn't return to and in a couple of years when our boys are a bit older we plan on taking summer vacations around the US by car. I think that would be a great education for them.

1 yFlorida. Too crowded too many nats and jelly fish
11 Reply- 1 y
Too crowded? What part of Florida is too crowded? I live in Florida and the biggest city is less than 1 million people that's 10 times smaller than New York.

1 yThere is no state I would not want to visit again. I've been in 46 states and lived in 10 of them. Most states I've been in multiple times. I do like some states better than others, but there aren't any I wouldn't want to visit again.
At one time, a long time ago, there were some states I thought sucked. But the more I traveled, the more I appreciated the variety. There was a time I thought some of the plains states were boring - just something to get through to get to the "good" states. But later I appreciated the open space. What may appear to be a lot of nothing, is actually something, even if it's not immediately apparent.
I usually traveled by land. I almost don't consider flying from point A to point B traveling. You miss everything that way. You gotta slow down when you travel. NYC and LA are not the country. There is one hell of a lot in between.
Of the 46 states I've been in, there is something I like about every one of them. I would like to see every one of them again.30 Reply- 755 opinions shared on Travel topic.

@exitseven This is quite a community. I post on a gag sponsored Mothers day about an event special to me in relation to my mother. People i have no clue anything about on my second day here call me a snake and carry on a conversation about some pedofile in my post. So there are people blocked and im blocked. What would Jesus do?

1 yI only saw two. I did not choose it... I was forced to go there because of my job.
Can't say that I enjoyed it... I even wasn't interested to have a look around on an off day.
So let's say... all of them, except for probably Greenland?
10 Reply 810 opinions shared on Travel topic. There is a lot of beauty in West Virginia, but it sounds like the outdoors is not your idea of a vacation.
13 Reply- 1 y
I like the outdoors but so more near the beach or river/lake. I love water.
- 1 y
No but I guess I could if I ever somehow were to visit again but I doubt I would.

1 yProbably Maine. It took me many years to visit the first time, it's so far away from where I live, and I really have no reason to go there. Don't get me wrong. Maine is a nice state, I enjoyed my visit, I just don't think I'll ever go back.
21 Reply- 1 y
Maine has beautiful lakes, mountains, seacoast, skiing, hunting.
But it’s basically the Appalachia of the north too.
@Simslover92 Probably Georgia, Jerry died there (Brother)

511 opinions shared on Travel topic. West Virginia is actually a very nice place. Consider visiting it again. You may not be aware of some of the neat things there. Charleston is a wonderful city. Unbelievably clean and beautiful.
12 Reply- 1 y
@slatyb What has to be there?
It's good enough. Now, when I was there at the end of the 20th Century on business, it had a nice mall. It was a wonderful city to walk in.
There's an old Chinese curse: May you live in interesting times.
So, why is this a curse? Because, "interesting" is dangerous and unpredictable. Charleston was a nice low-key city and rather beautiful.
West Virginia and Arkansas are both terrible
42 Reply1.4K opinions shared on Travel topic. I have no interest in ever visiting any of them, ever again. Being born and raised there was punishment enough.

1 yThe "South". Basically the former Confederacy. There is no to visit or spend money in our MAGA shithole states.
28 Reply- 1 y
That is kind of painting with a broad brush.
- 1 y
@Panthero80 ,
Well I'm not interested in meth or poverty tourism. And I'm tired of them being traitors and an economic boat anchor to our country. - 1 y
@Paige90 ,
Witness MAGA. And poverty. And education. And meth. And fentanyl. And voter obstruction. And voter intimidation. And crime. And property values. And attempts to rewrite history. And no labor laws. And no laws against pollution. And no workplace safety laws.
And I’m sure the locals just welcome those northerners coming in and driving up real estate prices and diluting the Republican voter base with open arms, right LOL?
What the South has going for it is that it’s cheap. But it’s cheap for a reason. It’s a shithole.
Nothing has changed. - 1 y
@Paige90 ,
Cheap is a relative and subjective thing. I live outside Manhattan in a bedroom community on the Connecticut “Gold Coast” with convenient access for people in the financial services world of investment banking, private equity, and hedge funds.
Check out Boston. Los Angeles. San Francisco. London. Antwerp. - 1 y
For people moving out of the northeast or west coast, the south is dirt cheap.
Probably either of the Dakotas. or from Iowa west to Nevada there wasn't much to see when I passed through there. But Salt Lake City would be the last place I would want to go again

u 1 yNothing against the state, or the people who live there. I've been there twice (family business matters), and nothing there really excited me. I'm not a beach person. I just don't know of any reason I would need to return there, and it wouldn't be on my desired list of places to visit. I feel the same about a few other states, but Florida was the first one to come to mind.
