Assuming you have no other means to travel at that time
+1 yI use ride sharing the most. We have a car but don't use it much. Traffic is terrible here. Ride shares are nice because you can select different levels. The higher levels (more expensive) tend to be professional drivers where I am at.
Those are nice vehicles and generally the best service in my experience. I think a lot of it will depend on the location you are at as to what is better. In the south of the city, it is a bit more posh, so you have higher end services available.
I'd imagine for you, either would work. You probably get a discount for being able to be stowed under the seat like luggage.
Going back to the airfare idea I had for you a while back, I am guessing your fair is probably reduced like your height. Wait, imagine that... pay by the inch in height. Heck, you could probably get a ride relatively cheap across the country if that were the case.

just curious, what kind of car does @PrettyPriya drive?

@exitseven I don't often drive. Rarely really. I prefer to be the passenger. We have an Audi Q2. It is a fun little thing and Priya-sized.

+1 yI personally find Uber much better, since I will know the driver's details before riding.. 😊🏃🏻♀️ But we have jeepney here in Philippines, they are everywhere haha!

Didn't Grab buyout Uber there in the Philippines a few years ago? - +1 y
@DeeDeeDeVour yup! Uber is a co-owner of Grab here in Southeast Asia.
This is a great question. If I'm in a big city like New York or Washington DC that have a useful, established taxi network, I prefer taxi. I like Lyft better than Uber but I don't like how long it takes for some pick ups and I hate that drivers can rate you badly without any recourse or for anything they just don't like.

m +1 yI've been using taxis, Uber and other rideshare apps for almost two years now...
tariffs do change ALL THE TIME for whatever reasons, so I do usually go with cheaper one
although, often I don't care I just want to make it and pick either... lol10 Reply

+1 yI did a search of uber to my university years ago and apparently the regular taxi is cheaper than uber to get to my school, I used to take the taxi to school on days I had exams, just to make myself feel calmer before my final test. I live walking distance from the school so it does not cost too much.

+1 yTaxi, I kinda trust them more... but mostly I actually always just walked home or waited for hours for the next available train

(Only waited for a train, if walking would have been longer then 3 hours)

Yeah exactly!
Mmm 🤔 as a Born New Yorker, I’d have to go with a taxi.
“Yo Tax Ayeeeee!”
https://www.youtube.com/embed/SIaFtAKnqBU10 ReplyI don't use either locally. There aren't many ride share drivers in my area to begin with, and have never taken a taxi locally.
I've used Lyft in larger cities when I've traveled. I prefer Lyft over taxis when I need transportation.

+1 ytaxi… I don’t trust Ubers since they’re not so common here… not taxis either tbh, my number 1 choice would be train or bus…
13 Reply- +1 y
public transportation, buses and trains are very common and there’s many options here when it comes to that… taxis exist but not many people use them at all… Ubers, never heard of anyone using it, I think I used it ONCE and I thought “never again” lol

@Paulalove98 I loved it. I don't like driving anymore. It is too big a hassle.
But riding in that car made me re-think things a little bit.
User as I can know when it is here, how much it is, share my location etc.
