Whats your opinion of interstellar travel?

Would you go to another world if it was habitable and you had to be put in suspended animation or given increased longevity to live long enough to get there?

No, I hate just taking long trips to get to the grocery store. I feel like I’m dead by the time I walk in, and reach for a bag of M and Ms to revitalize and sustain myself throughout the rest of my trip.

It’s pretty edgy and quite the rush, once I come to.

Odds are the nearest habitable world is so far away that if they looked at the earth through a telescope strong enough to see it's surface inhabitants, they would see dinosaurs.

What you'd really want to do is take a skeleton crew. Genetic material and artificial wombs. You'd need a power AI as well and a droid operated children's creche.

It's doable but I'd be pretty hesitant being a family man. If I were single and unbound I'd give it a whirl though.

You would be bringing your family, and any offspring for multiple generations after that are born years after launch.

Our current knowledge of physics strongly suggests that interstellar travel is impossible for humans. Villager left in the 1970s and it's barely out of the Solar system.

Slow does not mean impossible.

The people on board could be suspended, or simply live much longer, or generations of people could live on the ship. That said, thats actually pretty fast, the 1970s wasn't that long ago, its only slightly older than me.

Voyager 1 is currently 22 light-hours away: about 0.25% or 1/400th of one light-year. Proxima Centauri is 4.25 light years away. At it's current velocity, if it were moving toward Proxima Centauri, it would arrive in about 17,000 years

Any ship that intends to make it past mars with people on it, should have its own ecosystems because restocking anything, be it fuel, food, water, etc, is unrealistic.

No way. Space is ridiculously hostile to life and the travel times incredibly long. Then, communication lag will isolate you from loved ones back home.

Interstellar travel is too long to not be a one way trip, people would be with their families on the trip, as large colony of many families. There would be no point to a solo trip that long.
