I can't tell the exact species from the picture without doing research which you may be able to do yourself by putting the pic in one of the many 'What is This' apps.
I can say that it is a moth caterpillar and that the white little pod that's on it is a wasp egg, which will eventually kill it.
I found a polyphemus moth caterpillar some years ago in late summer and put it in a jar. When I came back an hour later it had completely cocooned itself in dense white silk. I kept the jar close to where I sleep. Around 4 or 5 months or so later, I started hearing occasional 'skittering' noises coming from it. That lasted for weeks. Then one night I was awakened by loud fluttering noises. A fully formed huge beautiful polyphemus moth was now occupying the entire jar.
It was amazing.

I think it is a snail that lost it's shell.
Looks like a hornworm. They devour tomato plants and turn into moths.
This looks a lot like Angel Shades caterpillar.
