For what it's worth, I'm American and I've been to 16 of them, a little less than half.

Sixish. I’ve been through Tahoe, but i didn’t go to the lake. I would also suggest that list is incomplete. Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Park should be on there. So should the Mackinac bridge; it’s much more magnificent than the Golden Gate in every respect, save age. The Great Lakes should be on the list, particularly Superior, the largest lake in the US and the largest freshwater lake in the world. There are also dozens of sensational state and national parks surrounding it. The Jersey shore should definitely be there. It’s actually dozens of attractions along the coast that would take weeks to experience all of them thoroughly. Between state and national parks, historical sites, casinos and amusement parks, fine hotels, beaches and natural attractions, there’s something there for everyone with an adventurous spirit. New Orleans has much more than drunken debauchery to offer tourists. I would argue that New Orleans and the Jersey Shore both have much more to offer most tourists than Las Vegas does.
The entire state of Hawaii is a tourist attraction. World class beaches and nightlife hotspots within walking distance of each other, AND some of the world’s most active volcanoes? Snorkeling and skydiving on the same day? Shipwreck diving and swimming with sharks? C’mon! Hawaii is like something out of a fantasy novel, but it’s REAL and it’s part of the US! They get more tourists in a given year than any other state and more than most countries.
There’s SO much to see and do in the US! It’s easy to forget that, especially when you live here.

I’ve seen New York attractions like the Statue of Liberty and Empire State Building but never gone inside. Most of the times I’ve been in NYC the interior of the Statue of Liberty was closed due to heightened threats terrorism (fear mongering) or some other excuse and I was just passing through or whatever going to some other place in the North East/New England. I don’t typically go to the top of buildings just for a view of the city, but I did get dragged to the top of the Space Needle once. I’m from Florida so obviously I’ve been to Walt Disney World, Saint Augustine, South Beach, the Everglades, etc. I’ve driven across the majority of the county living in a camper van so I’ve seen all sorts of stuff out west like the Grand Canyon, Zion National Park, Yellow Stone, Pikes Peak, etc. and plenty of things along the way from Florida to there like the French Quarter, River Walk. The Alamo, Gateway Arch, etc. I’ve passed through DC several times in different spots and seen some things from a passing view, but have never spent time doing the entire DC tour.

I’ve been to 12: Grand Canyon, Walt Disney World, Zion National Park, Hollywood Sign, Las Vegas Strip, Pikes Peak, Everglades, Chicago, French Quarter, Gateway Arch, South Beach, St. Augustine. I love America, because no matter what you like to do, you don’t actually need to leave the States to do it. There’s just SO MUCH to see and do here!

Im from upstate Ny and have quite a few family members in the city, but we never do touristy stuff when we visit.

Go check that out. Stop in RTP where I have clients (Silicon Valley East side of Mississippi) then head over to Mount Mitchell (highest point East of Mississippi) in Fall-I’ve done that and back packed…beautiful

I also stood atop the World Trade Center before it was destroyed, and often walk through Dealey Plaza down Commerce St... the spot where JFK was assasinated... there is a white X in the street there where it happened.

I've been to 27 of them. Seen Alcatraz many times but never set foot there. The other ones I haven't been to (shorter that way) are Chicago River, Riverwalk, the Alamo, the Gateway Arch, the French Quarter and Saint Augustine. I plan on going to San Antonio next year so may get the Riverwalk and Alamo off the list.

I liked St Augustine as that is one of those rare places in America where you see buildings going back 300-400+ years. Charleston was the other one. Other than that, we just go to Europe for vacations. As a family, we have a passion for old towns.
