How should I handle a situation if an airline put me in business but my boss is in premium economy?

Our client has a relationship with an airline and we are being flown to Europe for a trip from the US.. But there was only one free business seat, and for some reason the airline gave it to me. I think I’m just going to play dumb and be surprised at the airport about it. If for some reason it comes up later I can always say I misunderstood. I’ve never flown international business, and so would be nice to do it both ways.

I've had that happen on two different alliances due to my status with them. Sucks for your boss. Take the upgrade. 100x better in international business than cattle class, more so if it's a non-US carrier. Other than British Airways.

I’m going to take it. But I wouldn’t call it cattle class. Premium economy in International is basically Midway in quality between the two. It’s not like domestic with Some extra legroom. Of course I’m over the moon about business, but it wouldn’t have been awful either.
