What's your favorite hotel brand to stay at when traveling?

I travel a lot (both work and fun). I like modern hotels, my wife prefers old / B&B type places, so we do some of both.

If I want a simple, clean place to sleep for a night, Holiday Inn Express works well.

For Nice business hotels, Hyatt is usually good - though there are some exceptions. They have some very nice places in Asia, and especially in China (Park Hyatt Shanghai is one of my favorites).

I'm not a fan of Hiltons because while the room rates are low, everything else is extremely expensive. I've also had some bad experiences - in particular at a Hilton / Conrad in Bora Bora that was very expensive, but really mediocre. (including getting food poisoning!).

Four Seasons is my favorite luxury brand, They just always seem todo things right. Never had a bad experience.

Also had a good experience with Ritz Carlton though I'll take a 4seaons given the choice

I've stayed in ultra-luxury Aman's a few times. Certainly spiffy - but not really better than 4 seasons, at 2X the price.

I like nice hotels, but I'll happily stay in whatever is available if its somewhere I want to go.

Well I never really had a particular hotel brand that I liked. I always liked to research places, if I liked what I seen from the pics as well as reviews I’d give it a chance. But now when I go to Vegas I try to stay in any of the MGM resort hotels for the points, free rooms, etc. If I’ traveling elsewhere I’ll go w Embassy Suites as I have a Hilton credit card, also the ready to make breakfast helps make up my mind.

The last hotel I stayed in was a Holiday Inn. I really liked it because of the nice, big bed I had. 😌

Local boutique hotels. It's been such a race to the bottom for the loyalty programs of the major chains I don't even care about status anymore. I'd rather just find something off-chain that actually makes it special.

Definitely Marriott. A lot of their hotels are pretty modern and they make you feel important just at gold status.

If I can’t find a good Marriott one then I go to Hyatt.

The best deal I can get for our needs. We've used everything from a family-run B&B to Choice to Wyndham and Microtel. Just depends on our needs at a given point.
