Which city in Europe would you take your date on for a romantic mini break and why?
What tips do you have for someone visiting that city to help get the most from the trip?

Definitely not Paris. It's probably fine for a quick pass-through, but it has fallen hard over the years.
I wouldn't recommend London either, but being able to speak the language makes visiting very easy compared to other options.
Venice is very unique, but also very expensive and still may not live up to expectations. For Italy, either the Tuscan countryside, Rome, or Florence might be better.
Munich is probably the most tourist/visitor friendly, and ideally you time it during some local festivals and squeeze in some tours of Neuschwanstein and/or the palace. If you're into Cars, the BMW factory and museum are in the city too. I've never had any trouble finding people who speak English in most parts of formerly West Germany. However the nicest spots are in the country, and people tend to be much more reserved. Rothenberg is easily the best of those country towns to visit for a day/half-day trip. Munich is pretty easy to get into, though maybe not as easy as Frankfurt.
Switzerland (specifically Interlakken) is probably my favorite. I recommend staying in town and taking trains up to Zermatt, and optionally spending a night there. Alongside some of the wild frontierland of Alaska, this is in my opinion the most picturesque place in the world, around July anyway. Unfortunately this trip would take a few days.
Some honorable mentions include Dubrovnik, Luxembourg, and Barcelona.
I have friends who like Amsterdam and Prague, but I've never been ti either of those.
Paris, with its captivating feel, notable tourist spots like the Eiffel Pinnacle, and heartfelt walk around the Seine, is generally viewed as the best city in Europe for a heartfelt smaller than expected break.
He has never read Romeo and Juliet. I would call it deficits in education.
its not what country or city or anywhere its with whom,

Too many to count. Anything away from tourist locations. The backwood towns are great.
Venice
Its the only European city I’d find romantic atm. I used to admire it when playing Sly 3 and I also wanted to ride the gondola in the Grand Canal and checkout the Italian food and Art Galleries
