How do you pass the time when travelling by air?

I always get the best sleep on a plane. No matter if im traveling 2 hours or 6... I sleep so soundly. And i love that the planes were never full (even pre-pandemic) because you can lay sideways with your back against the wall and your legs across the seats. I also had the option to watch tv but i never carry headphones. I hate those things

Take a sleeping pill if I am in the air for 8-15 hours, if only for 3 hours or less, then a book to read, my phone to watch movies, listen to music, play games on the phone, coloring book ( hey its fun, I am a big kid now 😉)

Listening to music or watching a movie is the best way to past the time while travelling in plane.

I also take out my camera during the take off and landing to click some beautiful aerial views.

And if there is nothing to do, I sleep. You get best sleep in the flight. Especially if it's the night flight.

Watch my Garmin.
Garmins are designed for cars as they show the car's movement on an electronic map.
My wife and I took our Garmin on a flight.
It was hilarious watching the Garmin struggle to update the map of the ground below our airplane because planes fly so much faster than cars drive.

I tried to watch Jurassic World Dominion but it said I needed to download it first. Then I downloaded it and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen but then it said I needed Wi-Fi which was exorbitantly wacky. So I just listened to YVNChads for a bit and went half to sleep.

In flight champagne and watching the scenery. I have done high altitude jumps before, so I always enjoy seeing a nice line to jump through in the clouds or good terrain to shoot for in the distance.

Sleep. I had a 13 hour flight. I was awake for dinner. Then took a nap, expecting to watch some dramas afterwards. I woke up with about an hour left and breakfast.

If is a short flight up to 4/6 hours I'll listen to music/watch videos on a media played or my laptop, read a book on an Ereader. If its a long haul flight I'll try to get as much rest as possible, especially if its to somewhere like Australia from the UK.

I like conversation, and I read. I avoid looking out the window as long as possible (unless I'm driving) because the start of the journey is the same home area, and if the novelty wears off then it gets boring quicker.
