If you were a cross-country truck driver would you take your wife with you if permitted to?

Or would that be too much time together? Plus would she be happy in the cramped confines of a truck sleeper? Maybe a little more room would help?

As someone who's BEEN a long-haul truck driver, probably not. Those cabs are rarely anything more than a bed or two behind the seats, and rarely with more than a foot or two of space between them. There's not a whole lot to do in the back of a cab, and it'd get pretty boring quite quickly. I suppose it might be fun for a short run or two, but beyond that...

The only exception I can think of is if you're both truckers, and switch off driving while the other sleeps. I know some owner-operators do it like that.

I would, I enjoy traveling with my wife and tooling about the cities. She's good company, likes to adventure, makes my life easier and is interesting to talk to, we can talk about most anything. When we are tired of talking to each other we call up someone else.

She said she can sleep anywhere, but we as well agree, I'd rather be in a comfy bed... I value sleep. I don't think we'll be doing the camper thing and I'm fine with that.

Guess it would depend on how long you have been together. Usually, the longer it's been the more alone time you need.
