Lufthansa 747 from New York to Frankfurt. Then train to France and subsequently through the Chunnel to the United Kingdom. A week in the UK touring country houses, Highclere Castle, and Caernarfon Castle in Wales. Train down to Southampton and a transatlantic crossing on the Queen Mary 2 back to New York.

If money was no problem, maybe Switzerland and Austria. But I always wanted to spend time in Northern Italy. Denmark and the Netherlands would be cool, too.

I've already been to Ireland twice. And I toured Bavaria, parts of France and Belgium, and England. I love Ireland and loved Bavaria.

For about 15 years, up until 2020, I was invited to play a set at a large, annual Irish Ceiledh. I play guitar and sing. I would cobble together a band composed of accordion, mandolin or Irish banjo, bass, maybe another guitar, and harmony vocals to play pub songs and some Irish rebel songs that people could sing along to. It was great fun.

So I once bought an iPod, and it had "Gaelic Storm" on it.

@RedHotSallyJo. They used to have a huge Celtic Festival every year at our local fairground. Some of the best Celtic bands from around the world. I worked in our local radio station's merch booth and got to meet many of them.
They stopped the festival in 2020 because of "covid". They started up again in 2022 but I haven't been back because my "woke" friends no longer like me. LOL

I used to go to Irish Fairs when I lived in Los Angeles. One year in the 80s, I got to meet The Irish Rovers. I used to love that band.
The IRA even had a booth one year and I contributed money to the cause. LOL

I have always wanted to view Vercingetorix's statue; currently in France if I recall. He was the one responsible for uniting 300k gauls against Caesars 45k Romans in a pincer at Elysium. Vercingetorix failed, was taken back to Rome in chains, languished for years & was killed years later during Caesar's triumph. This event was one of a multitued of catalysts that took the world as we know it in a completely different direction. I've always wanted to see this statue with my own eyes.

Yeah- if I had more vacation time available I would definitely take two weeks in a row off. It takes time to reset when taking time off of work- two short of a vacation and your mind isn't entirely able to relax by the time you have to go back to work.

the long flight would ruin it for me. II might need a month and Fiji is near Australia right so i have to see that too , I went from New York to hawaii we had 2 weeks so it made the flight not too bad
