Lufthansa 747 from New York to Frankfurt. Then train to France and subsequently through the Chunnel to the United Kingdom. A week in the UK touring country houses, Highclere Castle, and Caernarfon Castle in Wales. Train down to Southampton and a transatlantic crossing on the Queen Mary 2 back to New York.

I've already been to Ireland twice. And I toured Bavaria, parts of France and Belgium, and England. I love Ireland and loved Bavaria.27 Reply- +1 y
I want to go to Ireland since I'm mostly Irish/Scottish

Lliam, are you a Scalliwag?
- +1 y
Aye. And you're a saucy wench, RedHotSallyJo. 😎😏
For about 15 years, up until 2020, I was invited to play a set at a large, annual Irish Ceiledh. I play guitar and sing. I would cobble together a band composed of accordion, mandolin or Irish banjo, bass, maybe another guitar, and harmony vocals to play pub songs and some Irish rebel songs that people could sing along to. It was great fun. - +1 y
I used to play banjo, but I have no idea what an "Irish banjo" is.
So I once bought an iPod, and it had "Gaelic Storm" on it.
But the best song was "Scalliwag" Holy Sheep Shit! I love it.
But I hate traveling by plane, so I'll wait until they invent those beaming devices like on Star Trek.

@RedHotSallyJo. They used to have a huge Celtic Festival every year at our local fairground. Some of the best Celtic bands from around the world. I worked in our local radio station's merch booth and got to meet many of them.
They stopped the festival in 2020 because of "covid". They started up again in 2022 but I haven't been back because my "woke" friends no longer like me. LOL
I used to go to Irish Fairs when I lived in Los Angeles. One year in the 80s, I got to meet The Irish Rovers. I used to love that band.
The IRA even had a booth one year and I contributed money to the cause. LOL
+1 yIf I had a free time and some holidays, I’d love to go to Thailand or Philippines

Already am and for almost 3 months. Usa, and most importantly getting to see Rezz at the amphitheater in Colorado. I am so hyped to see her!
Also have 2 other gigs planned. The best part is I ain't the one paying for my trip. I paid for the concert tickets and that's it so lucky win for me.

+1 yBack to Vegas. I never wanted to leave. As for other places I’ve been too, 3 days felt like too long. I was homesick. But I was in Vegas for 4 days and wanted to stay longer... the atmosphere was everything. The people were friendly too. And the temp wasn't as bad as people make it out to be. Its hotter down here in the south
10 Reply I have always wanted to view Vercingetorix's statue; currently in France if I recall. He was the one responsible for uniting 300k gauls against Caesars 45k Romans in a pincer at Elysium. Vercingetorix failed, was taken back to Rome in chains, languished for years & was killed years later during Caesar's triumph. This event was one of a multitued of catalysts that took the world as we know it in a completely different direction. I've always wanted to see this statue with my own eyes.

+1 yYeah- if I had more vacation time available I would definitely take two weeks in a row off. It takes time to reset when taking time off of work- two short of a vacation and your mind isn't entirely able to relax by the time you have to go back to work.
00 ReplyIt won’t be two weeks only. It would be home - The Philippines 🇵🇭

@rachel776 That is what happens when you dive in submersible with an unconventional design that was doomed to fail like the titanic. On the flip side with that design money was an object & in this case & in the case of your post money isn’t an object & I’ll make sure my spacecraft is designed better.
+1 yIf I wanted somewhere new that I haven't been to, I'd choose Hawaii. If I wanted a classic that I absolutely adore already, I'd choose Tennessee. LOVE getting a cabin and staying in nature as much as possible.
00 Reply2 weeks is nothing, really.
I'd check out Miami.
Like the guy in Scarface once said (i believe he was in Miami at that time) "This town's like a great big pussy just waiting to get fucked"

Money isn't really the problem if it's just two weeks. Unless you do something crazy like deep ocean or the moon.
