What is the busiest US Airport you have been to?

Most of my calls for hotel rooms are usually for DFW (Dallas/Ft Worth) especially when they are delaying or canceling flights. Another one is LAX}

Minneapolis is the Northwest hub (Is NW even still around?). I've seen it pretty darn crowded there. That might be because I flew through there a lot in the winter with all kinds of delayed flights. I know I've missed more connections there than anyplace else.

In the old days, everything went through OHara. It's still big, but nothing like before. I went through there the first time I flew on a commercial flight in 1967, by myself. That was the old TWA airline.

The old Denver airport sucked. I don't think I've been to the new one.

I haven't flown in a long time. Everything might have changed.

I've been to all of the major ones in the US:

• San Francisco
• Los Angeles
• Dallas/Ft. Worth
• Chicago
• JFK in NYC
• Atlanta

I'm not sure which of these is the busiest, but I understand that Heathrow is the busiest in the world - and I haven't been there.

I wouldn't think that Charlotte would be quite as busy as some of the others, but I'm on the west coast so I have no need to go there. Dulles is definitely a reasonable candidate for the list, though - tons of Feds and contractors going through there every day.

Atlanta is frequently the busiest airport by total volume of passengers, but DFW, JFK, LAX, MIA, LaGuardia, Dulles, Reagan... I've hit all the major hubs in the US at one point or another.

2014 Ohare beat it... thought it was DFW. Of course that's by flight number not passenger number, so i suppose that comes down to how do we define busiest. Thanks for the link :)

Houston and Atlanta.

i'm sure others are busier at times but on two occasions i flew into those locales and it was insane

It’s probably either LA or NYC. I’ve heard that the traffic in LA is horrendous and New York is America’s biggest money pit.
