What can I do at the airport?

I haven't traveled much yet - I'll have to wait four hours between two flights. My cell phone battery is low and I don't want to carry much with me. What can I do while I'm waiting without using my cell phone? And I don't want a power bank either.

I have written notes with the states and capitals of the USA and am learning a little geography. Like the vocabulary I learned at school. Two books are in my bag but it is not quiet enough for me here

I was in Greece - so many American tourists at the airports. I had two Stopps, that sucks. Munich & Athena. One the First break I drunk a Cappuccino & ate a piece of cake - 10€. That's why I didn't one more time. Travel is stress and not fun but I am safe home again

Well if you would quit whining about low cell phone battery, but doesn't want to carry a power pack you'll find that most all airports have plenty of food and drink courts and they all have cell phone charging posts to recharge your phone. Other than that just wander and enjoy the people and sights.

Visit a lounge & try their food. Make conversation with the people there.

Do you not want to just bring your charger? Wouldn’t you bringing it anyways?

Walk around and explore. Use the massage chairs.

I always forget anything and I don't want to carry more stuff then I need. My friend told me, he has a charging cable and I don't need to bring it. I try to save weight so that I have more space for souvenirs ;-)

There are restaurants you can eat at, bars you can drink at. There are usually TVs showing news programs that you can watch. There are usually stores you can shop at, just browse if you want. You can just sit, relax and people watch or watch the planes come and go.

Don't want to use the toilets... And I don't want to carry too much things so I don't want to buy things... I want to buy souvenirs when I finally arrive. So I don't carry much things with me. Thanks for you answer :-)

Most of the time in a new setting like an airport people are afraid of talking to others and they don’t want to seem rude. Even if you don’t know the language.. seeing someone and smiling or saying hi can break down that barrier and they can be your buddy for a few hours. Even with hand signals you can communicate.

But ya, don’t let the unknown fear weigh you down. Be safe, bring s book, and breathe. You got this!

A year ago I flew to Italy. My suitcase did not arrive and at the airport they were not helpful at 10pm. They gave me a form but no number, so the airline refused to reimburse me. Unfortunately, I only realized this at home when the airline wrote that they would not do anything without this case number. A little Trauma. And on the return flight the gate number changed and they didn't announce it. The gate was not known until shortly before the next flight and then the gate number changed five minutes before the scheduled departure time. I don't know what I'll do if I don't get a flight

Yes, I really hope it goes well. The last time I spoke to a couple from Luxembourg, they were very nice. They helped me a lot. I hope that everything goes well this time and that I can do it on my own. I'll be traveling for the second time. If it doesn't work out again, I'll stay in Germany for my next vacation. And France, Belgium, Danmark without flight

I flew up the coast on a commuter airline. The flight was delayed so I spend a couple of hours in the bar. When I got on the plane I immediately had to pee. The little plane had no bathroom Fortuately it had to make a stop about halfway to pick up more passengers. As soon as the door opened a took off towards the terminal. I could hear the pilot yelling at MI. I just yelled back not to leave without me. When I got back they stuck me in a fold down seat in the back of the plane. The pilot could not get the door to stay shut so there was a chain in the door. He pulled the door shut and habmnded me the chain. He said to keep the door shut. We would be in the air rlfor about 30 minutes.

edit/update** these are the days after Thanksgivings, and that has between 50 and 60 million Americans travelling to/and back from home... maybe you encountered some of those going back to Europe, after visiting the states? just guessing... lol

Watch jets take off and land outside the window.

Ich habe einen Blick rein geworfen - boah sind die teuer! Ich hätte besser beim Bäcker noch ein belegtes Brötchen gekauft. Außerdem gibt es echt wenige Sitzplätze hier. Trotzdem werde ich mir nachher einen Kaffee gönnen aber dann ist das Budget schon aufgebraucht, bevor ich überhaupt angekommen bin, wenn ich jetzt noch eine Gastronomie aufsuche.

Nein, nicht in die USA aber EU. Ist schon stressig, wenn man sich gar nicht auskennt mit Flughäfen. Beinahe hätte ich den ersten Flug verpasst.

I think it's very expensive at the airport. That's why the plan is ten hours including a break without eating and drinking. And you don't have to go to the toilet

There’s usually all types of stores there in the airport, especially a bookstore and coffee shop that you can kill time doing but they also have places to charge your cell phone too
